Match 2 for FC Maroon was match 3 for A Boro Fiuk. Both teams had a point to their name and a victory here would put them just one point off the top two teams. Group B was looking like the place to be if you were filling in your pools coupon but draws were stunting the teams progress. 3 points would be massively valuable in the context of this group….even more than normal.

A Boro Fiuk were out to overcome their disappointment in the last game and put things right. However, half-time came and went with the score 0-0. In the second period Martin Ferguson broke the deadlock and put A Boro Fiuk ahead with their first goal of the day. This, combined with Matt WB's second clean sheet of the day, gave A Boro Fiuk their first win of the day.

A Boro Fiuk moved up into third place and in touching distance of the top two. It left FC Maroon in 5th place but with a game in hand on most of those in Group B.

Csabagyongye versus Breckland FC was the next game on Pitch B and was a battle between the 4th and 6th placed teams. Csabagyongye were looking to make it two wins out of two that would see them go top of Group B with a game in hand – quite an incentive.

The Hungarian team would feel confident as they defeated Breckland FC 3-2 in the 2013 Lisbon Tournament – a repeat would do them just fine. Breckland FC were as competitive as ever reaching half-time level at 0-0. The English team had so far lacked a little cutting edge and so had suffered narrow defeats in each of their games to date.

In the second half Csabagyongye were to grab the initiative as they forged ahead through Gergo Saling. 1-0 became 2-0 as Gergo Koczka doubled the lead and from here there was no way back for Breckland FC who would remain in 6th.

The table was looking extremely healthy though if you were a Csabagyongye supporter.

9 Nana Budds had just seen Csabagyongye move ahead of them in the Group B table. They could regain the lead with victory over FC Maroon. FC Maroon came into the game in 5th position and needing the points to avoid falling off in the pace in the table. If they could win it would be just two points separating 1st and 5th. A draw/defeat would leave them with a lot to do going into their final fixtures.

9 Nana Budds had shown everyone how to defend in this tournament with a 100% clean sheet record. They kept that record going until half-time in this fixture too. Goals were conspicuous by their absence in Group B compared to other Groups and 9 Nana Budds had struggled to score – they would end up goal-less again in this game not only at half-time but also at full-time.

FC Maroon were unable to find a way through the inpenetrable wall of 9 Nana Budds defenders and they also finished the game without forcing a way through. We had another 0-0 at the final whistle.

The draw, whilst clearly better than a defeat, did not advance either teams campaign much but it was building momentum, confidence and gave them hope for future fixtures….although games were just starting to run out.
