Group C continued as Round 5 begin with Team Extreme on Pitch A. Their next opponents would be Good Latitude. Team Extreme had 3 wins from 4 and were just a point off top at kick-off.

Good Latitude had started well with 6 points from the first 6 but had only taken 1 from the previous 6 on offer and so had dropped to fourth. They were just 3 points off top so now was the right time to get back to winning ways. Incidentally, over the period that Good Latitude had picked up 1 point, Team Extreme had picked up the full 6 on offer so the form book was with them.

Team Extreme kept that recent run of form heading in the right direction with Danh Van Vo's second of the tournament giving them a 1-0 lead. Chika Kalu was on hand to make it 2-0 and another three points was in the bag for Team Extreme. It should also be mentioned that instrumental in Team Extreme's run of form was Dean Tinney in goal as he had just kept his third clean sheet in a row.

Match 18 of Group C was Tysers versus T Bashers. These two teams had been cut adrift at the foot of the table with both teams looking for their first points of the day. They were 5 points off the team in 6th position and with three games to go things were looking ominous to avoid elimination. 6th position was the minimum requirement to reach the knock-out phase and the winner of this game would have a chance to qualify. A defeat would leave the loser's hopes hanging by a thread.

It was T Bashers who struck the first blow in this game as Pat Harris was on target for the second time today. They would not retain the lead though as an own goal helped Tysers get back on level terms at 1-1. T Bashers were back in front through Elliot Hathaway but Tysers were level again with James Cowens equalizing for 2-2.

A draw would not be much use to either team in the context of this group. We were to get a winner though and it was Tysers who emerged victorious. Buoyed by his first goal of the day, James Cowens struck again to make it 3-2.

It was a great win for Tysers not just for picking up for three points but for coming from behind twice.

The next game was a massive game for Ze'Argon. They came into the game on the back of a second win that took them up to fifth place. Another win here could move them into the Plate qualification places but they would have a tough task against the league leaders, Krakowcaine.

There was possibly a chink in the armour of Krakowcaine though. Krakowcaine had 10 points from a possible 12 so far but had just lost their 100% record as the chasing pack had closed up behind them. The draw in the last game seemed to spur Krakowcaine back into action though and you had to feel sorry for Ze'Argon who were the victims of Krakowcaine's wrath.

Krakowcaine showed their quality and ruthlessness as they tore Ze'Argon apart. Eloy Rubio started the rout before Hector Navarro made it 2-0. Beni Weber scored 3 goals at the Krakow Trophy and grabbed his second goal here in Barcelona to make it 3-0. Eloy Rubio was on target again for 4-0 with Abdelkader Maroe scoring for 5-0.

There was some brief respite from Ze'Argon with Jean-Marie Anar bagging a consolation for 5-1. Hector Navarro would have the final word as he made it 6-1.

Krakowcaine returned to winning ways to help secure their position at the top of the table on 13 points. Ze'Argon would hold on to fifth place.

The game that would complete Round 5 was Fiorentina Turner 2 versus Gintam. Fiorentina Turner 2 were joint second at the start of this round of fixtures and needed another win to keep pace with their main rivals at the summit of the table. With 3 wins in a row they would be confident.

However, although Gintam were down in sixth place they had just earned a draw with the league leaders. In fact, 2 draws in their last 3 games had thwarted their rise up the table. Gintam were unbeaten in 3 games with 5 points from a possible 9.

The league position belied Gintam's ability and we witnessed a really entertaining and close game. It was the higher placed team, Fiorentina Turner 2, who took the lead though. Tom Farrer continued his good run of goal-scoring form to put the English team 1-0 up. Carlos Sagarra's third of the tournament meant that Gintam were level again at 1-1.

Arnau Andres had scored three goals for Gintam today and he was to find the net again. Sadly for him it was at the wrong end as Fiorentina Turner 2 regained the lead. Tom Farrer was on target again as he increased the lead to 3-1.

Gintam were back in it at 3-2 when Arnau Andres atoned for his earlier own goal by scoring his fourth at the correct end. The sands of time ran out on Gintam though as Fiorentina Turner 2 recorded their fourth win in a row.
