L'Albiceleste become first French winners since 2009 at the Barcelona Fives.

The 2017 Barcelona Fives was our joint-largest single tournament ever with 32 teams from Denmark, England, France, Ireland, Lithuania, Italy, Oman, Spain, Switzerland and Wales battling it out for glory. We had 133 games and saw over 400 goals scored on the day but just 1 overall winner - L'Albiceleste!

L'Albiceleste moved up to joint third on the all-time eurofootballfives.com winners' list by lifting their third title. They added the 2017 Barcelona Fives title to their triumphs at the 2013 Mallorca Fives and 2016 Riga Tournament. In the Cup Final they defeated Naranjitos from Valencia. Naranjitos had won two Plate competitions in our tournaments before but this was their first Cup Final and represented their best ever performance in our tournaments.

The plate competition was won by LT United - the first win for a team from Lithuania in our tournaments. They were our top scoring team on the day with 27 goals and 14 of those came from Edgaras Buzas. He was the top goalscorer in the tournament. Our runners-up in the Plate were Fiorentina Turner 1 who had two teams in the tournament and both impressed on debut.

In the Trophy tournament we had our first ever winners from outside of Europe with CBD Boys of Oman successful. They finished the day strongly with 4 clean sheets in a row and 10 unanswered goals. They defeated Leek High Boys in the Trophy Final who were our Plate runners-up from 2016.

It was a great day's competition and another fantastic climax to a superb year of tournament action across Europe. Our 2018 season kicks off in Lisbon in April - we hope to see you there!
