Group C was really hotting up as we entered Round 4. We kicked off on Pitch A which was becoming a bit of a home ground for Team Extreme with their third game on a row on here. They currently shared third place on 6 points (with Fiorentina Turner 2) and were 3 points off top spot. A third win in four would see them close that gap.

Tysers were so far without a point and this was hardly the type of game they needed to get off the mark. Team Extreme had been free-scoring so far with 8 in 3 games and the goals continued to flow for the men in yellow. Danh Van Vo opened the scoring with his first of the day and Team Extreme were off and running.

Pete Tolkien scored for the second game in a row before David Cole added to his personal tally. Cole had been on target on Round 1 and he added two more to his eurofootballfives CV as Team Extreme extended their lead to 4-0.

All that was missing was an Antonio Vernaschi goal to keep up his record of scoring in every game so far. Right on cue, he added a fifth to seal a sensational 5-0 win for Team Extreme.

It was second versus sixth on Pitch B as Good Latitude entertained Ze'Argon. The English team would be favourites with 7 points from 9 on offer. Ze'Argon had 3 points from their 3 games. Statistically this looked like a home win with Good Latitude out-scoring their opponents 6-1 in the tournament so far and defensively had conceded just 1 compared to their opponents' 5.

It was time to rip up that proverbial form book as it was the French team who took all three points from this fixture and claimed their second win of the day. Benjamin Cahart had scored their only goal of the day so far and he was on the mark to make it 1-0 to Ze'Argon. Enrique Martinez equalized and it looked like normal service would be resumed.

Ze'Argon had other ideas though as Benjamin Cahart was on target again to restore the Paris team's lead at 2-1. It got even better for Ze'Argon who had the luxury of a two goal lead at 3-1 thanks to Fehmi Badreddine.

3-1 became 4-1 as Cahart claimed his hat-trick in what was becoming a stunning result. Marcus Pitts reduced the deficit to 4-2 but it was too little too late in this fixture as Ze'Argon won 4-2.

The defeat saw Good Latitude slip to fourth place, Ze'Argon were up to fifth and just a point behind their opponents.

We moved onto Pitch C (or Campo C as the locals would call it) for the game between T Bashers and Fiorentina Turner 2. T Bashers were seeking their first points of the tournament. Fiorentina Turner 2 had just won two games in a row. If they could make it three wins in succession then they would share second place.

This was a game that ebbed and flowed in the early stages but then one of these teams took control and eased away from their opponents. The game went to form when Fiorentina Turner 2 established a 1-0 lead. T Bashers levelled it up at 1-1 thanks to a strike from Louis Broad. Fiorentina Turner 2 were then ahead again courtesy of what the referee noted down as an own goal although Jack Busby looked to claim the goal.

Fiorentina Turner 2 then put daylight between themselves and their opponents as they turned 2-1 into 4-1 to collect the win. Goals for Fiorentina Turner (aside from the one mentioned above) were Tom Farrer x2 and Rob De Kort x1.

The game that would complete Round 4 and set the scene for the start of Round 5 would be Krakowcaine against Gintam. The Swiss were the only team left in Group C with a 100% record. They just needed to avoid defeat to maintain the lead at the top of the table but would obviously want to keep that 100% record going.

Gintam had enjoyed a mixture of results so far – a win, a draw and a defeat. That defeat came first up so they had taken 4 points from a possible 6 since and had a zero goal difference of 4 scored and 4 conceded.

Gintam continued that recent run of good form when Arnau Andres scored his third of the tournament to give his team a vital lead. A win would see them stay in fifth place but be only 2 points off top whereas they were currently 5 off the lead. If it stayed this way the top 5 would be separated by just 2 points with 3 games to go each.

Kracowcaine had a real goalscorer in their ranks though in the form of Nacho Mochales. He scored 10 goals for Me Toca Tirar here last year and he scored his third of the tournament today. It was arguably his most important as it rescued a point for his team. Krakowcaine may have lost their 100% record but they kept their unbeaten record and they kept the lead of Group C.
