Round 3 started with Team Extreme versus Ze'Argon. We've mentioned Team Extreme's most recent appearance in Prague but let's give you a full preview of their tournament history with us.

Team Extreme made their debut at the 2012 Valencia Fives where they finished 2nd in their 6-team group behind Oman's CBD Boys to earn the right to play Grant Thornton (Fra) in the Quarter-Finals which is where they left the competition. Grant Thornton (Fra) incidentally went on to win the 2013 Mallorca Fives and 2016 Riga Tournament and are here today as L'Albiceleste. Team Extreme also played in the 2013 Mallorca Fives but avoided playing the French team for a second time. They finished third in Group B (behind Hungary's FC Miracle who won the 2012 Valencia Fives) which meant qualification to the Plate competition. They were defeated in the Semi-Finals by Son Gual who went on to win the Plate.

At the 2014 Amsterdam Fives they had their most successful European sojourn (at that time) as they won Group B. In the Cup Quarter-Finals they defeated ADP Netherlands 3-1 before an epic encounter against 3 time eurofootballfives.com champions, Athletico Do Hollande, saw them exit the competition 4-3.

In 2015, Bratislava was the destination where they competed as Tekkerslovakia and The Dave Cole Minors as part of a stag weekend. The former qualified for the Cup losing to FC Pressburg, 3-2, in the Quarter-Finals. The Dave Cole Minors reached the Plate Semi-Finals and, following a 3-3 draw, lost on penalties to the Plate Winners – St Paul's College Old Boys.

Then came their runner-up performance in Prague last year. They'd enjoyed a mix start today with a 3-1 win and 3-2 defeat. They were back to winning ways against Ze'Argon though. Pete Tolkien put them in front before Chika Kalu scored his second in as many games for 2-0. Antonio Vernaschi kept up his record of scoring in every game as he rounded off a superb 3-0 win.

We went into Game 10 of Group C with Fiorentina Turner 2 due to meet Tysers. Fiorentina Turner 2 came into the game on the back of two tough opening games. When the draw was made we predicted Krakowcaine and Team Extreme would be the two teams qualifying for the Cup. We have to add the caveat that we had obviously not seen the debutant teams in action. Fiorentina Turner 2 had played both in their opening two games and emerged with 3 points which can't be bad.

Tysers had struggled to make their mark so far as they had suffered two defeats from their first two games. They had scored their first goal of the tournament last time out so had something to build on.

Tysers fell behind though as Rob De Kort put Fiorentina Turner 2 ahead. Ben Renshaw doubled the lead and win #2 was in the bag for Fiorentina Turner 2. They were upwardly mobile in the table as were now in joint third place.

For Tysers it was a case of being empty-handed again but, onwards and upwards, as they had 4 games left.

Gintam were about to get underway on Pitch C against Good Latitude. The Spanish team lost their first game but came into this game with a good 2-0 win over Ze'Argon under their belts. Good Latitude were joint top of the table with a 100% record and yet to concede a goal.

That proud defensive record would take a blow here in the early stages as Gintam went 1-0 up. Carlos Sagarra scored his second of the tournament to put the Spanish team into the ascendency.

Good Latitude were behind for the first time in the tournament – how would they respond? Pretty well was the answer. They equalized through Marcus Pitts as he bagged his second goal in as many games. The goal kept Good Latitude unbeaten although their 100% win record had gone. The point put them top of Group C – temporarily at least as Krakowcaine's result from Pitch D was yet to filter through.

The fourth game in Round 3 was Krakowcaine versus T Bashers. Krakowcaine had a 100% record from their opening two games so far. T Bashers also had a 100% record but of the unwanted kind – two defeats from two.

Looking at those two records it looked like this could be a fairly routine game for Krakowcaine and so it seemed when they went ahead through Eloy Rubio. He was in a rich vein of form after a hat-trick in Round 2. Krakowcaine would not have it all their own way though as Pat Harris put T Bashers back on level terms at 1-1.

Krakowcaine did go back in front through Nacho Mochales. Mochales was the top goalscorer at the 2016 Algarve Open (for Saipan FC) and also at the 2017 Krakow Trophy (for Krakowcaine) and this was his second of the tournament so far.

Krakowcaine won their first game 3-1 and they were to repeat that score here in Round 3 when Beni Weber opened his personal account for the day. Three more goals and three more points to Krakowcaine who ended Round 3 with a 2 point lead at the top of Group C.
