Galacticos's 4th eurofootballfives.com appearance was gathering momentum as they now had 4 wins from their 4 games so far. They lead Group B on goal difference with 3 games to go. They next met a Fiorentina Turner 1 team who had put together 3 wins on the bounce since opening game defeat to LT United.

This could be Fiorentina Turner 1's sternest test yet. A look at Galacticos' overall record in our tournaments (to date) was impressive:

It was perhaps no surprise then to see the Galacticos juggernaut continue when Yaaseen Patel's third goal of the tournament put them 1-0 up. Fiorentina Turner 1 though had been impressive in what was looking like a very tough group. Harry Boys had been a hat-trick hero in Round 4 and he was to add to his tally in Round 5. He scored the equalizer to make it 1-1 and became the first man to breach the Galacticos defence today.

Galacticos edged ahead again though – Adam Patel this time with the goal. Adam Patel's goal ultimately proved to be decisive. Galacticos kept their 100% record going but Fiorentina Turner 1 had run them close.

The next game on Pitch B in Group B was CAP FC versus Argon'ze. These two teams had identical records of played four, won one, lost three, three goals scored and eight conceded. The two teams (along with Fail Madrid 2) had a share of fifth place. The winner here, if there was to be one, could strengthen their claim to qualify from the group for the Trophy at least. It would also move them closer to the teams above in the Plate qualification places.

It was CAP FC who struck first in this game with Fenton Cayless scoring his second goal in three games to put his team ahead. CAP FC moved closer to the three points with Mo Beldo scoring his first goal in eurofootballfives.com football. We had seen already in this tournament (in Group A) that even 3-0 was not a safe lead so it must have got jittery for the English team when Vincent Cafiero reduced the lead to 2-1.

Could Argon'ze pull off a comeback? The short answer is no. Time was against the French team and CAP FC had enough in the tank to see the game out and collect all 3 points.

Now was the turn of Naranjitos to pick up their 3-0 walkover win versus Prospe FC. They didn't need much help as they had a 100% record already but the 3 points helped them retain a share of the lead at the top of the table.

Fail Madrid 2 were back in action again on Pitch D where they played host to Lithuanian side LT United.

Up until September 2016 we had never had a Lithuanian team in our tournaments. We have since had Lithuanian teams appear at our 2016 Riga Tournament, 2017 Mallorca Tournament, unsurprisingly at our 2017 Vilnius Tournament and now at the 2017 Barcelona Fives. Lithuanian teams had always done quite well as you can see below:

2016 Riga Tournament: FK Prienai won Group B but went out to CAP FC in the Cup Quarter-Finals (2-0).

2017 Mallorca Tournament: Lilchicago won Group A but went out to Finn's Chins in the Cup Quarter-Final (1-1 draw, then penalties).

2017 Vilnius Tournament: We had 5 Lithuanian teams with Lilchicago reaching the Cup Final and Funfoot reaching the Cup Semi-Final. FK Preinai also made the Cup Quarter-Final.

LT United had begun well with 6 points from 6 but two defeats in a row (admittedly against the top two) had halted their progress. They were back to winning ways here though thanks to goals from Edgaras Buzas. He scored a hat-trick in Round 1 and had two more here in Round 5. Linas Vaiciukauskas and Mantas Bambalas then made it 3-0 and 4-0 respectively. Credit also goes to Tomas Urbonavicius who kept a clean sheet.
