Going into the final round of games it was do or die now for these eight teams. First up was Fiorentina Turner 1 versus Naranjitos. Fiorentina Turner 1 knew they had qualified for the Plate regardless of what happened in this game. If they could finish third though, they could secure a (theoretically) easier Quarter-Final draw. Similarly, Naranjitos knew they would be playing in the Cup regardless of this result but they would be Group B champions if they could match or better the score of Galacticos on Pitch C.

This was the task facing Fiorentina Turner 1. Naranjitos' group record at the Barcelona Fives read:

The two teams were pretty evenly matched in direct competition though and, ultimately, just one goal would settle this fixure. Cometh the hour, cometh the man and that man was Harry Boys. His goal ensured victory for the English team. Fiorentina Turner could also be proud of their defensive display as the only team to shut out the Naranjitos attack today.

The result was a massively impressive result for Fiorentina Turner 1. In the group phase of our tournaments, Naranjitos had gone 16 games without defeat since they began the 2015 tournament with a 3-2 defeat to North London….until now!

The final game on Pitch B in Group B was Argon'ze versus LT United which would have implications for the qualification places for the Trophy and for the Plate.

For the Trophy the equation was relatively simple. Argon'ze had to win and hope Fail Madrid 2 lost. The French team would then qualify for the Trophy. Anything less and Argon'ze would be eliminated.

For the Plate competition we already knew before kick-off that Fiorentina Turner 1 and LT United had both qualified but 3rd place was still to be decided. LT United had to match or better Fiorentina Turner 1's result. If both won, then LT United had to ensure they won by as many (or more) than their English rivals.

The game started against the run of play (in the context of the group) with Argon'ze taking the lead through Thomas Bovier. At this stage everything was looking good for them. They were winning and Fail Madrid 2 were losing. Things were to slip away from Argon'ze though.

Karolis Vladicka equalized for LT United before Edgaras Buzas put them ahead at 2-1. Karolis Vladicka extended the lead to 3-1 as LT United pulled away. Dalius Kisla made it 4-1 before Edgaras Buzas scored his second of the game for 5-1.

The penultimate game of Group B was Galacticos versus Fail Madrid 2. Galacticos had the luxury of knowing already they would be playing in the Cup competition this afternoon. The Group B title was up for grabs though. To win the group they needed to better the result of Naranjitos. Should both Galacticos and Naranjitos win then Galacticos would need to win by an extra goal due to goal difference.

Fail Madrid 2 could finish anywhere between fifth and seventh. A fifth or sixth place finish would see them qualify for the Trophy. They needed at least a point to secure that. If they were to lose then Argon'ze could potentially unseat them should the French team win. It would then come down to goal difference which would see Argon'ze go through.

The game went with the form book as Galacticos opened up a 2-0 lead thanks to goals from Zuber Bulbulia and Hamza Patel. Fail Madrid 2 then hit back through Neil Hargraves and Ricky Bartholomew. The goals secured a 2-2 draw and confirmed that Fail Madrid 2 would progress to the Trophy.

For Galacticos the draw was good enough to win Group B – well done to them. They would be a team to watch in the knock-out phase. It was their third group win in four tournaments with eurofootballfives.com.

The final thing to settle in Group B was to add CAP FC's 3-0 win over Prospe to the scoreboard which gave us a final group table as per below.
