As we entered the final Round of games we knew that Hasanheide Bulls and DHL Prague White had both qualified for the Cup but there was still plenty to play for when they met in the final round of fixtures. The Group D title was up for grabs and with it a Cup Quarter-Final place against Shrewsbury Townsend. Second place would mean a Cup Quarter-Final against the Rigford Seahawks.

The teams were level on points but Hasanheide Bulls had a slender advantage on goal difference so the Germans only needed a draw to win the group, DHL Prague White had one option – to win. Things were going just as the Czechs' would have hoped for at the break as they led 2-1 with Obrad Acimovic's 4th goal of the day and a first for Jeremie Touret outgunning a Peter Anderson strike.

In the second half they held on to the lead as Mullins scored for the Bulls but Vincent Guerin, who had now scored in all 5 games, and was on 6 for the tournament struck the winner and saw DHL Prague White claim the Group D title.

Bayer Never Lose Em and Big Gay Al's Not SSF were two of the three teams vying for the two Plate qualification places available. Big Gay Al's Not SSF were a point behind Bayer Never Lose Em and JJ's so needed a win. A draw would only be good enough if JJ's lost by 9 goals.

So, Bayer Never Lose Em only needed a draw to progress to the Plate but they were looking good for all 3 points when Liam Kelly's third of the day put them 1-0 up. The goal equaled his Prague 2009 tally. Could he go on and beat it? Not in this game but Bayer Never Lose Em could increase their lead as Craig Fawcett's third of the day made it 2-0 and things looked bleak for Big Gay Al's Not SSF. In fact, there was no way back for Big Gay Al's Not SSF as the game finished 2-0 and they would be playing in the Trophy competition this afternoon. Bayer Never Lose Em and JJs would be in the Plate.

By the time JJ's met Borussia Monchenhirschbach they knew they had qualified for the Plate regardless of the result in this game. Due to superior goal difference compared to Bayer Never Lose Em, JJs needed a win of any kind to finish third and avoid East Compton Seagulls in the Plate Quarter-Finals which was quite an incentive as the Seagulls had looked capable of Cup qualification.

Borussia Monchenhirschbach were playing for pride and a win would see them jump off the bottom and leapfrog Big Gay Al's Not SSF into 5th place. It did not start too well for them as Craig Nunn put JJs ahead in the first half and then he doubled the advantage in the second period with his 4th and 5th goals of the day to secure a 2-0 victory.

JJ's would finish 3rd and Borussia Monchenhirschbach would finish 6th but still had a knock-out campaign to look forward to in the afternoon.
