With only two points separating 2nd to 5th place there were 4 teams all with a chance of joining Hasanheide Camels in the Cup draw. The team with the most difficult task was DHL Prague Reds as they were up against the Camels themselves. If they could pick up victory they would still be reliant on results elsewhere to help them out. All they could do was win and hope for the best.

They put in a top quality performance and things were still going well at half-time as they were drawing 1-1 with a goal from Martin Valent matching a strike from the Camels' Steve Tattum. Could the Czech's find a winner in the second half to really put the pressure on the other mid-table teams?

There was a second half goal but it was not to the advantage of the Czechs. It was Tattum's second of the game and it proved to be the winner. DHL Prague Red would need to wait for other results to see whether their points tally would see them qualify for the Plate or the Trophy. The Camels' kept marching on.

Of the 4 teams chasing the final Cup qualification place, Northern Monkeys had the best opportunity as their fate was in their own hands. If they could claim victory they would finish second. A draw would leave the door open for the two teams in the next fixture. For Energie Cobalt, they knew they would be playing Trophy football but they could earn a lot of plaudits with a result here.

It started off as plain sailing for Northern Monkeys as they established a 2-0 lead by the break. They went from strength to strength in the second half with three further goals although they didn't have it all their own way as Energie Cobalt struck through Mottram.

The Northern Monkeys main two marksmen were at it again as Dyson and Jamieson scored a brace each. They were confirmed in 2nd place and Cup football was theirs.

The 15th and final game of Group A was FC Wein Schweine Fliegen against Horribly Hungover. The Northern Monkeys victory against Energie Cobalt meant that Cup football was beyond these two teams and the battle now was whether to play Plate or Trophy football. Currently it was Horribly Hungover who occupied the Plate position and their opponents were currently in 5th and thereby would qualify for the Trophy.

FC Wein Schweine Fliegen would need to win to make the Plate but a draw would not be good enough. It therefore started well for the men in yellow as Jonathan Wray's 6th of the day gave his team a vital lead. A draw would be good enough for Horribly Hungover and they therefore just needed the one goal to equalize and book their place in the Plate.

The equalizer proved beyond them on this occasion though as the clean sheet meant FC Wein Schweine Fliegen claimed all 3 points and 3rd place in the table. It was a costly defeat for Horribly Hungover though as they slipped from 3rd to 5th and would play in the Trophy. The result also meant DHL Prague Red's place in the Plate was confirmed.
