Group D was settling into a pattern with two teams on 9 points, two teams on 4 points and two teams yet to open their account. It looked fairly clear which teams would qualify for the Cup, Plate and Trophy but there was 6 points up for grabs for each of the teams so nothing was set in stone yet.

Bayer Never Lose Em met Hasanheide Bulls in the next game and if the English team won their last two and the Bulls lost their last two then they would oust their opponents from the Cup qualification places. On the flip side, if they lose both and Big Gay Al's Not SSF or Borussia Monchenhirschbach won their last two they would slip into the Trophy. Results were becoming more and more crucial.

For the Germans, they looked to be in a two-horse race for the Group D title and a win was a must for them to keep pace with DHL Prague White. They began well and took a first half 1-0 lead. In the second half they eased away from Bayer Never Lose Em completing a 4-0 win. It was over to DHL Prague to match or better the result to maintain 1st place.

DHL Prague White needed a 4-goal win to maintain their place at the top of Group D. Their opponents were JJs who only needed a point to move into 3rd place on their own. JJ's had started well with 4 points out of 6 but suffered defeat in their last game so needed to bounce back in this one.

The two teams were looking pretty evenly matched in the opening period and when the referee blew for half-time there was nothing to separate the two teams. They were level at 0-0. The second half saw goals, 3 of them to be precise, with DHL Prague White edging it 2-1 thanks to goals from Rupert Baltrock and Vincent Guerin. Harry French scored his fourth of the day for JJ's but ultimately it was to prove a consolation.

DHL Prague White has secured the win they wanted but not the margin of victory and they saw Hasanheide Bulls move above them. Both teams had guaranteed qualification for the Cup though with a game to spare. JJ's were in third on goal difference.

The next game was the basement battle between Big Gay Al's Not SSF and Borussia Monchenhirschbach. A win for either would make it an interesting 3-way battle for the 2 Plate places. A defeat would condemn the losers to the Trophy competition and a draw would suit neither but still give each an outside shot of making the Plate albeit with the odds stacked against them.

Will Monelle struck first for Big Gay Al's Not SSF and they led in a game for the first time since the opening match of Group D. In that game they were turned over for a 2-1 defeat but things improved for them in this game when Adam East unfortunately beat his own keeper and the own goal made it 2-0.

Could Borussia Monchenhirschbach recover? They made a great effort as James Platt pulled one back for 2-1 and the latter stages of the game were dominated by Borussia winning a succession of corners but the equaliser proved elusive. It was a first win of the day for Big Gay Al's Not SSF who had given themselves a good chance of making the Plate. Borussia Monchenhirschbach knew the Trophy awaited them.
