Round 2 of Group A began with Horribly Hungover taking on DHL Prague Red. The former had suffered opening game defeat and were looking to bounce back whereas the latter had earned a good point against former winners Northern Monkeys.

Horribly Hungover needed the points more than their Czech opponents and it was a change of fortune for them as they hit back in style to put first game defeat behind them. Peter Lovell lead the way with a double strike to earn his side a valuable win. 2009 Prague Trophy top goalscorer David Asamoah scored for DHL Prague Red but it was merely a consolation.

The result left DHL Prague Red in 5th place but 3 points for Horribly Hungover saw them rise to 3rd place in the table.

In the next game Energie Cobalt were looking to emulate Horribly Hungover by turning opening game defeat into second team victory. Their opponents were Hasanheide Camels who were looking to make it two wins out of two and take a grip of Group A.

The German team wasted no time in achieving this goal as they raced into a 4-0 lead by the interval. The second half continued in the same vein as 4-0 became 7-0 and a resounding victory put them comfortably in charge of Group A. The goals were shared around with a hat-trick for Thomas Theodore, a double for Tom Fraine plus strikes from Anselm Coen and Sam Aston.

It was a tough defeat for Energie Cobalt but they still had 3 more games to go to mount their challenge for the 2012 Berlin Fives.

Game 6 of Group A saw FC Wien Schweine Fliegen take on Northern Monkeys. FC Wein Schweine Fliegen were looking for their second win in order to join Hasanheide Camels at the top but they had a tough ask with quality opponents.

Northern Monkeys started the game well and forged a 2-0 lead by the break. They were on course for their first win of the day and this was looking even more likely when they made it 3-0 and then 4-0. There was a double for Alistair Jamieson and a double for David Dyson who had now scored 3 in 2 games.

The 4-0 victory saw Northern Monkeys leapfrog their opponents and move into 2nd place with FC Wein Schweine Fliegen dropping to joint 3rd.
