Horribly Hungover began Round 3 against Energie Cobalt in one of the best games in the group. The two teams shared the first two goals with Nwana's second of the day for Energie Cobalt and Arran Balls opening his account for Horribly Hungover. Before half-time Peter Lovell's third of the day ensured Horribly Hungover would start the second half with a 2-1 advantage.

Dan O Regan made it 3-1 in the second half and it looked odds on that Horribly Hungover would have their second successive victory. They had not accounted for the man they call “Grantos”. Andrew Grant of Energie Cobalt reduced arrears to 3-2 with an unconventional finish. Then, a side-step inside an exquisite right-footed finish inside the far post leveled things up at 3-3.

It was a double-strike that earned the first point of the day though for Energie Cobalt. Horribly Hungover must have been disappointed though and from 3-1 up this was certainly 2 points dropped. They now had 4 points and all was not lost with 2 games to go.

DHL Prague Red were next in action against FC Wein Schweine Fliegen with the Czech team looking to improve upon their return of 1 point in 2 games and Schweine Fliegen looking to build upon their opening victory and bounce back from the Northern Monkeys defeat.

The game proved pretty even with not much to choose between the two teams. In fact, there was nothing between them at all in the first half and the teams ended the first half level at 0-0. We were to witness goals in the second period but still the teams could not be separated. The game finished 1-1 with Jonathan Wray scoring his 5th goal in 3 games and he was emerging as a contender for the top goalscorer prize. Viktor Kiyashko's second goal of the tournament ensured his team would earn a draw. DHL Prague Red remained in 5th place and would hope to turn draws into wins in future games.

To complete Round 3 was Northern Monkeys versus Hasanheide Camels. This proved to be a top-draw game as well with the two teams at the top of the table coming face to face. Both teams entered the game unbeaten and they looked like staying that way as they reached half-time at 1-1.

With time running out we were still level, at 2-2, thanks to two goals from Alistair Jamieson (Northern Monkeys) and goals from Anselm Coen & Vincent Pfafflin (Hasanheide Camels). Then came the big moment of the game and the talking point of the match.

The Northern Monkeys won a penalty and up-stepped Jamieson to take it. He stuck it in the back of the net with aplomb but the referee had not blown his whistle and so a re-take was needed. Once again the penalty was put away but again Jamieson had not waited for the referee's whistle and the penalty would have to be taken for a third time. This time, the Camels goalkeeper Kenneth Scholer guessed the right way and salvaged a draw for his team.

The result kept Hasanheide Camels on top and Northern Monkeys in second position but it could easily have been the other way around.
