Round 2 started with Borussia Monchenhirschbach taking on Hasanheide Bulls. The former had suffered a narrow 2-1 defeat whereas the latter had enjoyed a slender 2-1 victory in their opening games.

That winning feeling for the Bulls continued in the first half here as Janno and Daniel Larsson gave the German side a 2-0 lead at the break. This was familiar territory for Borussia Monchenhirschbach who had been 2-0 down at half-time in their previous game. On that occasion they hit back in the second half to reduce the lead but they could not repeat that in this game. The next goal was scored by Janno (his third in two games) and effectively sealed the tie.

The final score was 3-0 and Hasanheide Bulls were looking good with 2 wins out of 2. It was the opposite end of the table for Borussia Monchenhirschbach.

The opening round of games had seen Bayer Never Lose Em pick up a point and DHL Prague White pick up a victory. In their first game, DHL Prague White got off to a flyer and established a 2-0 lead by half-time and they were quick off the mark again in this one as Obrad Achimovic and then Vincent Guerin put them in a healthy position.

The Czechs were on their way to win number two and join Hasanheide Bulls at the top of Group D and they strengthened that position further when Guerin grabbed his second of the game to make it 3-0. They were joint top with exactly the same group record as Hasanheide Bulls.

Bayer Never Lose Em would have hoped to have kicked on after their opening game draw but, alas for them, it was not to be. The beauty of a 6-team group is they had 3 more games to put their form on track.

JJ's had also got a solid point in their opening game and would be hoping not to slip up like Bayer Never Lose Em. Their opponents Big Gay Al's Not SSF had produced a positive display in their opening game despite eventually going down 2-1 to the Germans. They would hope to pick up points for their efforts in this game – battle of the stag weekends.

It was the men in England shirts, JJ's, who struck first when Craig Nunn opened the scoring and his account for the day. The goal must have whet his appetite and kickstarted his thirst for goals as he went on to complete a hat-trick before Harry French added a fourth goal to round off a comprehensive 4-0 win. It was just what the doctor ordered for JJ's as they sat in 3rd place just two points off the top two.

For Big Gay Al's Not SSF it was a tough defeat to take and they brought up the rear in Group D. Not sure “up the rear” should be used in a sentence with “Big Gay Al” but there we go.
