Last but not least, we come to Group D where the group began with two clubs who had already seen much action in the 2012 Berlin Fives. Hasanheide Bulls were the third of the three Hasanheide Hotspur clubs in action – the Camels as we have seen won Group A whilst the Donkeys were 4 th in Group C. The Bulls would play Big Gay Al's Not SSF whose sister squad Big Gay Al's SSF had finished 5th in Group B.

The game started well for the stag weekend team of Big Gay Al's Not SSF when Sohan Samarasinghe scored the first goal of Group D. It was a lead they were to hold until half-time. After the break Janno leveled things up for the Bulls and from there the Germans went on to grab a winner and take the game 2-1. It looked like the Bulls would be emulating their Camels squad from early indications.

It was a bright start for Big Gay Al's Not SSF which might give them some confidence going into the rest of their group games.

Match 2 in Group D saw DHL Prague White meet Borussia Monchenhirschbach (easy for you to say). We've already seen in the Group A write up that DHL Prague are the most experienced team in eurofootballfives competition and their ‘Red' squad had already been in action finishing 4th in Group A.

Borussia Monchenhirschbach were making their debut but did have members of their squad from Wandsworth Athletic in their ranks. Wandsworth Athletic had previously played in the 2011 Valencia Fives where they finished 2nd in their 5-team group before an exit in the Cup Quarter-Final to 2-times eurofootballfives winners Lozenentz City of Bulgaria.

DHL Prague White made the brighter start in this game and quickly forged a 2-0 lead by half-time thanks to goals from Vincent Guerin and Rupert Baltrock. Borussia Monchenhirschbach hit back in the second half to reduce arrears to 2-1 when James Platt (one of those players from Valencia) struck. That was the end of the scoring though and DHL Prague White claimed all 3 points.

The final two teams in Group D, Bayer Never Lose Em and JJ's kicked off at 10.30 on pitch D. Bayer Never Lose Em were the sister squad of Hertha Beerlin who'd had a tough time in Group C. Their opponents JJ's were another team on a stag weekend and making their debut in a eurofootballfives.com tournament.

This turned out to be a game of two halves both exactly the same – the teams ended the first half level at 1-1 and then after another 1-1 half the final score was 2-2 and honours even. Craig Fawcett was the hero for Bayer Never Lose Em with both his teams goals. For JJ's it was Harry French with both for his side.

It was a decent start for both that saw them occupy the mid-table positions and formed a solid platform for them to kick on in their ensuing fixtures.
