Green Man FC were back in action against Southgate County at the start of Round 3. In our Mallorca Tournament dating back to 2015, Green Man FC were on a run of 4 draws and 4 defeats and looking for a first win. To us that seemed incredible when you looked at their performances on the pitch. No doubt they had deserved more, had drawn some tough groups and no doubt lost a little confidence on the way when results weren't going their way. Could they pick up a win at the 9 th time of asking in Mallorca?

Southgate County had so far won one and loss one. If we're looking for an indicator of form both these teams had a similar result against McArthur's Big Macs – both lost by the odd goal.

Here in Round 3, it was Southgate County who hit the front. Neil Spackman scored for the second time in three games. Green Man FC must have had that sinking feeling as they trailed 1-0 at the break.

The second half was a different story though. James Stump put Green Man back on level terms and then Jamie Claridge put Green Man ahead at 2-1. Green Man FC had that vital 3 points on the board and could that now spark them into a run of good form.

Wilmslow Whoppers came into Round 3 as one of two teams on maximum points. Could they make it three wins from three and keep the pressure on at the top of the table. They had been free-scoring so far with 7 goals for and just the one against.

Son Gual's group record had been a mixed one over the years. In their 24 group games before today they had won 10 and lost 10 with 4 draws. They had scored 36 goals with 35 conceded as they had amassed 34 points. Today you could say was in keeping with that - they had lost first time out but came into the game on the high after a comeback win against Inter Balear. They had a goal difference of 4-3 today.

Son Gual are certainly an unpredictable side capable of some great wins but also losing games you'd expect them to win. They would need to be at their best to defeat a Wilmslow Whoppers team but they held their own in the first period, 0-0.

Wilmslow Whoppers made the vital breakthrough in the second half. One goal was good enough to win it as Tom Fox made the crucial contribution. Wilmslow Whoppers marched on!

McArthur's Big Macs had the chance to join Wilmslow Whoppers at the summit of Group B when they entertained Inter Balear. The English team had a maximum 6 points out of 6 whereas the Spanish team had yet to put a point on the board. On paper, this looked an easy game to predict the winner based on the results we'd seen this morning.

However, Inter Balear were not champions at the Mallorca Fives three weeks ago for nothing. They were a good side and maybe a sleeping giant or was it a case of Leicester City struggling after winning the ultimate prize last time out? Either way, Inter Balear should not be underestimated despite their league position.

What we saw here was a cracker of a game on Pitch D. McArthur's Big Macs lead 2-1 at the break thanks to a double from Alex McArthur and it looked like the game could go with the form book. A goal from Pascal Moreno Cortes meant that Inter Balear were still in it.

After the break Inter Balear staged a comeback and levelled the game up at 3-3. Antonio Lobo Blanco and Juan Garcia Noguera were both on target for the Spanish team. Michael Baker's 2 nd of the tournament meant the points were shared.

In the context of the group table you have to say it was a better point for McArthur's Big Macs. At least Inter Balear had stopped the rot from their perspective.
