The
second half kicked off with DHFC trailing by
a goal to nil but they were not behind for long.
Captain Tom Holder was yet to score today but
he chose the perfect time to get his first and
pull his team level at 1-1. Tom Jepson had found
his goal-scoring touch in the knock-out phase
and his fourth in three games put DHFC 2-1 up.
Could Red Cow Belgrade respond? If they could
they would have to do it from 3-1 down as Ben
Charles-Williams 6 th of the tournament effectively
put the game out of reach of his opponents.
There
was to be no further score and DHFC had pulled
off a superb victory. We offer our consolations
to Red Cow Belgrade on a fine campaign – it
was their third Final in three years but their
third Runners-Up finish.
We
offer huge congratulations to our 2016 Riga
Tournament Plate winners – DHFC.
