Round 2 started with Drunken DisAudley versus Cruz Del Sur A. It was a game between two Round 1 victors with both teams having the opportunity to take a grip on Group C if they could manage a second win of the day.

In their previous eurofootballfives.com adventure, Drunken DisAudley opened the tournament with a win but then slipped to defeat in the second game – they would be hoping to avoid a repeat of that in Riga. Things did not bode well for them when Tom Obafemi's strike gave Cruz Del Sur A a first half lead.

Cruz Del Sur A had won their opening game on two previous occasions at the 2012 Barcelona Fives (as Banter Bus FC) and at the 2015 Amsterdam Fives. On each occasion, like Drunken DisAudley, they were unable to fully capitalize on this start with a loss in Barcelona and a draw in Amsterdam for their second fixture. That was to change here in Riga as they saw out a second successive 1-0 win. 6 points from a possible 6 represented their best start to a eurofootballfives.com tournament.

Game 5 of Group C was to be the all-Latvian encounter between Riga United and Factset. Both teams came into the contest having lost their first game and looking for their first victory of the day.

Riga United are an amateur team who play play their football in National League Two (Riga division) and have a reserve team in National League Three. They also have a social team who were represented here at the Riga Tournament. Riga United FC pride themselves on being a Latvian team willing to incorporate different cultures and nationalities.  Over the history of the team, the club can boast having had over 40 different nationalities, while still keeping a solid core of Latvian players.  The club's motto is "Vienoti Spelei" (United for the Game). Perfect for a eurofootballfives.com tournament.

Their opponents, Factset, were a corporate team and the youngest team in the tournament draw. The two teams reached half-time level at 1-1 with goals from Marcus Kallstrom (Riga United) and Nikolay Malisho (Factset).

The half-time score was also the full-time score. The two teams had earned their first points of the day.

To complete Round 2 we had Red Cow Belgrade versus One Calamski. These two teams had history when they met at the 2015 Lisbon Tournament Trophy Semi-Final (One Calamski were playing as Where's Dave?). In Lisbon it was a pretty tight affair with Red Cow Belgrade emerging victorious, 1-0.

With Red Cow Belgrade winning their opening fixture and One Calamski losing their opening fixture it would be easy to come to the conclusion that this game might follow the same pattern as the game in Lisbon. If you subscribe to that view then the opening goal went against the form book as Ian Mansley opened the scoring for One Calamski. Mansley was an ever-present for the Saga Louts/One Calamski stable since their debut at the 2009 Prague Trophy – he scored their first ever goal in eurofootballfives.com competition and 8 years later he was on the scoresheet again.

1-0 at half-time became 1-1 in the second half when Joe Howitt scored his third of the tournament. The game finished 1-1 and it was 4 points from 6 for Red Cow Belgrade which marked their best start to a eurofootballfives.com tournament. At this stage, they were showing their Barcelona Fives form – their best showing to date.
