Round 3 started with Cruz Del Sur B taking on It's Back. Both teams were looking to gain their first victory of the day. Cruz Del Sur B had managed to get on the board with their first point and first goal of the day – something that It's Back were looking for.

It's Back had so far been level 0-0 at the break in their previous games and no doubt they wanted to change that to try and secure a lead. However, having gone two down in this one I am sure they would have taken a third 0-0 instead. Danny McGee and Adam Cummins scored the goals for Cruz Del Sur B. It was Cummins second goal in as many games and he would no doubt have been relieved after missing a sitter in a contender for one of the comedy moments of the tournament.

The second half produced It's Back's first goal of the tournament which came from Tom Brunt – a reliable source of goals for It's Back over the years in these tournaments. Whilst the goal gave his team a foothold in the game it ultimately proved in vain as Nnamdi David scored the game's final goal to secure a 3-1 victory.

RAF Fylingdales and FC Dad came into Round 3 with an identical record of 4 points from 6 teams. For both teams it represented their best start to a eurofootballfives.com tournament (for FC Dad this was equal to their Barcelona Fives start last year). Could they keep this good run going in pursuit of Leilupe at the top of Group D?

We expected a close game with two teams who had picked up similar results so far and that is exactly what we got. It was not possible to divide the two teams in the opening half as we reached the break at 0-0.

The goals flowed in the second half as the teams traded blows. Paul Carney struck first for RAF Fylingdales before Ben McNamee immediately hit back for FC Dad. FC Dad turned the game on its head when Stuart Leslie made it 2-1 before Paul Carney struck his second of the game to make it 2-2.

As the game looked like it was heading for a draw cometh the hour, cometh the man. That man was Ben McNamee as he produced the winner with the last kick of the game. As a Man City fan we are sure in his head he could hear Martin Tyler screaming “McNameeeeeeeeeeeeee” (in shades of Aguero versus QPR).

The next action on the pitch in Group D was Saga Louts versus Lieluie. Leilupe were in seemingly invincible form having won 3-0 and 5-1 so far. Saga Louts had some task on their hands over the coming two halves of football.

It was a decent start for Saga Louts who were competitive in the opening period but they couldn't prevent Lielupe taking a 1-0 lead into half-time as Carlos Chillon scored his third in as many games for the Latvian team. Well, we say Latvian but Lielupe was a team made up of Spanish & Portuguese players all based in Riga.

In the second half they turned on the Latin flair as two goals at the start of the second half put the game beyond Saga Louts reach. Miguel Fontes and Helder Goncalves both scored to make it 3-0. Helder Goncalves made it 4-0 before there was some joy for Saga Louts. Matt Johnson scored for the second game in a row to make it 4-1.

The last laugh went to Lielupe and in particular Helder Goncalves. The Portuguese player completed a second half hat-trick and rounded off a 5-1 win. The result put Lielupe top of the table – they had 9 points and a goal difference of +11 after three games as they looked in formidable form.
