The start of Round 4 promised to be a tough one for AAK S&S. They had just suffered two defeats in a row and so the last thing they needed was to play against a strong team like Cruz Del Sur A. However, Cruz Del Sur had just tasted defeat for the first time in 9 group games after 8 wins in a row so maybe there was something there for AAK S&S to exploit. Cruz Del Sur A needed to put the disappointment of the previous game behind them quickly as they were still very well placed in Group B but things were getting tight.

Cruz Del Sur's full eurofootballfives.com record began at the 2012 Barcelona Fives as Banter Bus FC and it was a fine debut. They finished 2nd in their 5 team group behind Budapest Celtic Lions before going out to eventual winners Black Sheep of Spain in the Cup Quarter-Finals. In Hungary 12 months later they make a twin-pronged attack on the 2013 Budapest Fives title with two teams – BBFC1 and BBFC2. The first team finished 3rd in their group meaning they qualified for the Cup. BBFC1 went out on penalties in the Cup Quarter-Finals.

July 2015 saw them rebranded as Cruz Del Sur A and B and travel to Amsterdam where storm Zejko defeated all teams. Cruz Del Sur A finished 3rd in their group in hugely challenging conditions before the Code Red weather warning curtailed the day's activities. Their most recent performance was at the 2016 Riga Tournament where they were on fire in the group phase with 5 wins from 5 games. They were one of the favourites for the title so it came as a surprise when they lost 1-0 to FC Dad in the Cup Quarter-Finals.

It was AAK S&S who took the lead and it came from the unusual source of their goalkeeper, Daniel Best. We say unusual but whilst it is not a regular occurrence it is also not uncommon for goalkeepers to score – for example, at the 2017 Vilnius Tournament we had a goalkeeper score 4 goals in the tournament. It is still a great achievement and a great sight to see a goalkeeper score. Although Cruz Del Sur A may not have agreed on this occasion.

Gary Bartley scored his third goal in two games to make it 2-0 to AAK S&S as they moved on to six points. We now had four teams level on 6 points with just goal difference separating second to fifth position.

Tommie's Guns versus Wonderleague was the next game on Campo B and was a battle between the 4th and 8th placed teams respectively.

Tommie's Guns had just secured their first point and first clean sheet of the tournament so hopefully this would kick-start their campaign. Could they build on this and pick up a first win. If they could, then they would jump to fifth position. Wonderleague could climb to second position with a win for themselves.

Once the game was underway it was clear there was to be only one winner. In their penultimate game Tommie's Guns had been hit for six by league leaders Pangare Futebol Clube and the same fate was to befall them again.

Wonderleague hit the front early on through Cadin Malundulo before Bruno Miguel Fernandes Pinto added two more. It was then 4-0 and 5-0 before Cadin Malundulo finished what he started when he bagged the sixth.

Tommie's Guns stayed rooted to the bottom of the table. Wonderleague were flying high in second.

The 15th game in Group B was Pangare Futebol Clube versus Jackson's 5. Pangare Futebol Clube were the table toppers with a maximum 9 points from 9 points. Could Jackson's 5's prevent them making it 12 from 12?

Jackson's 5's had already claimed the scalp of Cruz Del Sur A in the previous game and sat just 3 points behind their illustrious opponents. If they could win this one they would obviously close that gap and share the lead of Group B and help the rest of the chasing pack haul in Pangare Futebol Clube.

It was Pangare Futebol Clube who struck first with Victor Spaghol claiming his fifth goal of the tournament. It was remarkable as he had scored for the fourth game in a row.

Adry Alonso wasn't far behind Spaghol in the goal-scoring stakes and he scored for the third game in a row as he pulled Jackson's 5's back level at 1-1. Victor Spaghol was back on the score-sheet again though as he restored his team's lead to 2-1 with goal #6 of the tournament for him.

The Brazilian team killed off any hope of Jackson's 5's making a second comeback when Blendow Esteves made it 3-1. It was 4 wins out of 4 for Pangare Futebol Clube – could anyone catch them?

For Jackson's 5, we're not sure who was responsible for the defeat – should we blame it on the sunshine, blame it on the moonlight or blame it on the boogie?

It was fifth versus seventh in the final game of Round 4 as FC Seagrave met Lun-don FC. Just two points separated the two teams at kick-off. If either team harboured hopes of reaching the Cup they needed to go on a winning run starting now.

FC Seagrave started off the day with a fine 3-1 win over Jackson's 5 but since then they had lost two in a row. It was important for them to get off to a good start here and they could go joint third with a win. It was Matt Allard who scored his second of the tournament to give FC Seagrave a lead.

They would have felt confident to go on and win against a team who had not yet scored today. That was to change though – Anish Koshal scored their first of the tournament to level it up at 1-1. It was to get even better for Lun-don FC when Jaspreet Devgun put them 2-1 ahead. Lun-don FC retained the lead until the final whistle and it was a historic moment for them. It was their first victory in European competition and many congratulations for that.
