Round 3 started with an intriguing tie – Audley Witney versus Northern Town FC. Audley Witney one their opening game but then suffered defeat in their last fixture. It was a big defeat too against Bulota PK so this match would be a big test of how they could respond.

Northern Town FC could have had a similar fate. They won their opener 3-0 and were heading for defeat when they were 3-1 down in Round 2. They staged a great comeback to win that game 4-3 and now sat joint top of the table.

Northern Town FC were looking to extend their 100% record and they achieved it in convincing style. Campbell McAuley was the man to get the ball rolling and they never looked back. Niall Dunning added a second before Campbell McAuley made it 3-0. Northern Town FC were doing their goal difference no harm at all as they increased the lead to 4-0 thanks to Conal O'Rourke. The icing on the cake was Darryn Crawford's goal as he completed the 5-0 win.

We went into Game 8 of Group C with Bulota PK due to meet Gdanskchester. If you were a betting man you would probably feel confident in betting your mortgage on a home win in this fixture.

Bulota PK had a 100% winning record and they had scored 10 goals without reply so far. Gdanskchester FC were looking for their first points of the day – they had scored one but conceded 7. It would be a tough ask for Gdanskchester to get a result from this fixture.

The game went with the form book as Bulota PK made short work of completing the victory to join Northern Town FC at the top of Group C. There was a hat-trick for Dariusz Frost (3) plus goals for Dawid Frost (2), Lukasz Abryszynski (2), Mateusz Janowski and Dominik Mierzwa.

The final tally was 9-0 to Bulota PK. This was quite a statement to the rest of the teams in the tournament.

The next game was in Group C was another superb game. Red Cow Belgrade lost their opener against Bulota PK but recovered in style to win their last game 4-1. I Love United & Drinking Shandies had lost both their games by the odd goal. Their first game was 2-1 to Audley Witney and last time out they were 3-1 before succumbing 4-1 to Northern Town FC.

I Love United & Drinking Shandies were first out of the blocks as Tom Russell scored an early brace to put his side 2-0 up. Kevin Roome responded to reduce the deficit to 2-1. Aaron Sullivan restored the two goal gap to make it 3-1. Emi Sanchez Repetto increased that lead to 4-1 and it looked like their first 3 points were incoming.

Joe Howitt got one back for Red Cow Belgrade to make it 4-2 to spark a revival before Thomas Goyski made it 4-3. I Love United & Drinking Shandies must have been getting nervous after losing from being ahead in the previous game. Those nerves must have been settled a little bit when Emi Sanchez Repetto made it 5-3.

The nerves may well have been jangling again when Thomas Goyski made it 5-4 but time ran out on Red Cow Belgrade as the referee blew his whistle for full time. I Love United & Drinking Shandies had secured their first win in eurofootballfives.com competition. The first of many?
