Match
2 in Group C saw I Love United & Drinking
Shandies versus Audley Witney.
Audley
Witney were born from the team formerly known
as Drunken DisAudley. They began their eurofootballfives.com
careers at the 2015 Algarve Open and made an
instant impact with a 1-0 win over 2011 Valencia
Fives and 2012 Krakow Trophy winners – Skidmarks.
They went on to finish 3rd in their 6-team group
and qualify for the Cup. They went out to the
previous season's finalists, Water Boy (Por),
4-0 in the Quarter-Finals.
They
returned to action at the 2016 Riga Tournament.
They played well in the group phase to finish
with 4 wins out of 5 as they finished in second
position. They qualified for the Cup Quarter-Finals
where they met Leilupe. Drunken DisAudley surprisingly
crashed out, 7-1.
Today
they appeared as Audley Witney FC and Audley
London FC. The Audley Witney team got off to
a flyer as they opened up a 2-0 lead. Eddie
Stevens was the man to score their first of
the day. Ian Goodwin then doubled that advantage.
I
Love United & Drinking Shandies pulled a
goal back to 2-1 but couldn't quite find an
equalizer. Final score, 2-1.
