Round 2 started with Audley Witney versus Bulota PK.

We had two first round victors meeting face to face. Whoever won this game would be the early pacesetters in Group C. Bulota PK had been imperious in Round 1 when they swept aside Red Cow Belgrade. They continued that form into this game.

Lukasz Abryszynski scored twice in the Polish team's opening game and he broke the deadlock here. Dawid Frost opened his personal account to make it 2-0 to Bulota PK. Mateusz Janowski extended the lead to 3-0 as the game was becoming a chastening experience for Audley Witney.

The goals kept on coming as Dariusz Frost made it 4-0 before Lukasz Abryszynski was back in amongst the goals to make it 5-0. Lukasz Abryszynski then completed his hat-trick to round off a superb 6-0 win.

 
 
 

Game 5 of Group C was an all England encounter between Northern Town FC and I Love United & Drinking Shandies. The former got off to a flyer with a 3-0 win from their opening fixture. The latter slipped to a narrow 2-1 defeat to Audley Witney.

Stephen Brennan kept a clean sheet for Northern Town in Round 1 but he was beaten early in this contest by Aaron Sullivan. Niall Dunning quickly replied to make it 1-1.

Tom Russell scored I Love United & Drinking Shandies first goal in eurofootballfives.com competition in their previous game. He was on target again here to regain his team's lead. That lead was extended to 3-1 by Aaron Sullivan as I Love United & Drinking Shandies were in control.

Darryn Crawford's goal wrestled back some of that control to reduce the deficit to 3-2. Campbell McAuley scored for the second game in a row to equalize at 3-3 and it was game on again.

There was still time for a winner. Who could claim it? Cometh the hour, cometh the man and that man was Chris Slevin. His third goal in two games ensured his team would secure the maximum 6 points from their first two fixtures. Final score, 4-3.

 
 
 

To complete Round 2 we had two teams looking for their first goals and first points of the tournament. It was Gdanskchester (Pol) versus Red Cow Belgrade (Eng).

Having seen Bulota PK demolish 1st Round victors Audley Witney 6-0 in Round 2, it perhaps put Red Cow's 4-0 defeat in some context. Here they had a chance of a fresh start and they took full advantage. Joe Smith would get them up and running for the day as he put his team 1-0 up.

It was then Thomas Goyski who was on target not once but twice to take the game away from Gdanskchester. At 3-0 it looked like plain-sailing until Temarz Sarna pulled one back for Gdanskchester.

We'd seen teams come back from a couple of goals down elsewhere in this tournament but any prospects of a Polish comeback were quoshed when Joe Howitt restored the lead to three goals and complete the 4-1 win.
