As we entered the final Round of games we started with a big fixture at the top. It was Montanelas FC versus Pangere FC Brasileiros. Both teams had already guaranteed their place in the Cup but we did not yet know who would be Group D champions and who would be runners-up. This was not just an academic exercise and the Group D winners would play the Group C runners-up and, in theory, have an easier Quarter-Final tie.

Pangere FC Brasileiros had finished top of the table once in their previous 3 Lisbon Tournament appearances and that was the year they went onto win it. Another group win may well lead to another title. So far Pangere had a 100% record with 4 wins out of 4.

Montanelas FC had dropped 2 points against Skidmarks but had otherwise been perfect with 3 wins. Another win here and they would climb above their opponents and win Group D by 1 point…

…and that is exactly what happened. In a very even contest there was just a solitary strike to separate the two teams. The goal was scored by Leandro Teixeira – his 7th of the tournament – and a goal that lead to another 3 points.

Huge congratulations to Montanelas FC – a great achievement to win a very tough group.

White Collar Revolution met Moles Salah in the penultimate game of Group D. Whilst the top two had roared away from the pack the rest of the group was quite tight with just two points separating third and sixth positions. It was quite literally anybody's guess which two would end up in the Plate and which two would end up in the Trophy. All 4 teams now just had the one chance to advance their case.

Following victory in their previous game, Moles Salah currently occupied fourth place and the last place in the Plate. If they could win this game they would guarantee at least fourth, a draw would need Skidmarks to fail to win their last game to reach the Plate. A defeat would certainly mean a place in the Trophy.

White Collar Revolution needed to win and hope Skidmarks failed to win (or if they did ensure they had a better goal difference than Skidmarks). A draw or defeat would see them into the Trophy.

In terms of results, White Collar Revolution had saved the best to last. They came flying out of the blocks and raced into a 3-0 lead with a Pierre Bourgois double taking his tally to 4 for the tournament before Thomas Bastin opened his personal account. Pierre Bourgois then completed his hat-trick to make it 4-0. There was a goal for Florent Gaullier to make it 5-0 as White Collar Revolution signed off the group phase in style.

That left us with Sirkumo FC versus Skidmarks to conclude proceedings in Group D. With 14 out of 15 games completed these two teams knew exactly what they needed to do.

Sirkumo FC would finish third with a win and fourth (on goal difference) with a draw – both scenarios would see them qualify for the Plate. A defeat would see them drop down to fifth position and into the Trophy.

Skidmarks would finish sixth with a defeat and fifth (on goal difference) with a draw – both scenarios would see them qualify for the Trophy. A win would see them climb to third or fourth depending on goal difference. Either way, a win would see them into the Plate.

This was another evenly contested game and for long periods there was nothing to separate the two teams as we remained locked at 0-0 past the half way stage. In the latter stages of proceedings we got a winning goal to split the teams. The match winning goal came from Zak Lunat who earned Sirkumo FC a 1-0 win and a place in the Plate to boot. Well done to them.
