Group D was really hotting up as we entered Round 4 and it was a big game for White Collar Revolution and Montanelas FC. If White Collar Revolution could finish win-win then they had an outside chance of reaching the Cup but it would definitely be enough to qualify for the Plate.

Montanelas could put one foot in the Cup if they could clinch victory here. They would move to 10 points (with a game to play) and with Sirkumo FC then needing to win both their last games to get to 10 points.

With two draws out of three White Collar Revolution had proved to be competitive and they now needed to add that cutting edge to try and turn some of these draws into wins. This game proved typical of their day so far as they kept the game to 0-0 for a large period of the tie. Sadly for them they were unable to get a positive result. Goal-scoring machine Leandro Teixeira broke the stalemate for Montanelas FC and added another to take his tournament tally to 6 goals.

It was a 2-0 win to Montanelas FC as they moved top of the table. White Collar Revolution remained fourth….for the timebeing.

Pangere FC Brasileiros were next on Campo D and they took on Sirkumo FC. The Brazilians had just lost the lead in the league table but now had an instant chance to regain it. If they could win here it would ensure Cup qualification. For Sirkumo FC a win would take them to 7 points and keep their Cup hopes alive but they would also need other results to go for them.

This was a brilliant end to end game and really could have gone either way. It was Pangere FC who took the lead thanks to Jose Matheus Rocha dos Schoa and it looked like the league leaders were on course for victory #4. Sirkumo FC hit back with Mobin Budi scoring for yet another game. What a run he was on.

Pangere re-took the lead with Simbair netting for the second time today but again they were pegged back. Mobin Budi was the man for Sirkumo FC taking his tournament tally to 5. Pangere forged ahead for a third time with Wendell getting his name on the score sheet. This time they opened up a two goal cushion with William Junior making it 4-2 and some may have thought the game was over.

Think again! Atiq Akhtar's goal reduced the deficit to 4-3 but time was against Sirkumo FC and Pangere held on to take all 3 points. A classic game.

That left us with the final two teams yet to play their fourth fixture – Moles Salah and Skidmarks. Such was the quality overall in Group D that Skidmarks haul of 2 points from 3 games was their lowest after 3 games in any of their 11 appearances to date. Such was the status of the group table they could no longer qualify for the Cup and would miss out for just the second time in their history. Many a team has turned around their form and gone on a run to lift a Plate trophy. In fact 11 teams over the years have boasted a Cup & Plate victory on their CV – Skidmarks could yet join that list.

Moles Salah had really been dealt a bum draw on their eurofootballfives.com debut. If you'd have told them they would be just 2 points off the 3-times winners before the tournament they'd have probably taken it. This game represented another tough fixture in a whole host of tough fixtures. A place in the Plate was up for grabs for whoever could take victory from this game.

Fair play to Moles Salah as it was they who took the lead in this one with a goal from Ed McGovern. They increased their lead to 2-0 thanks to a Kesar Hunjan strike and they were on course for a first eurofootballfives.com win. Taking down a 3-time tournament winner was a scalp whatever the context.

Moles Salah jumped from 6th to 4th with the win. Skidmarks slipped to 6th place.
