Going into the final round of games it was do or die now for the final four teams still in action. First up was Blue Collar Revolution versus The Basemen. What a game this promised to be between first and third in the table with just two points to separate them!

Blue Collar Revolution had raced to 3 wins out of 3 without conceding until their 1-0 defeat to OS Sadinos. Was this a blip or a sign of changing fortunes? The French team knew that they only needed to avoid defeat to secure Cup qualification. They needed a win and to maintain their advantageous goal difference over Galacticos to guarantee the Group B title. A defeat would leave them vulnerable to dropping into the Plate which seemed unthinkable just an hour or so ago.

The Basemen knew Blue Collar Revolution's predicament as they lead Group B by 1 point in 2018 so just needed a draw to win Group B but lost 5-0 to Danish Dynamites. The boot was on the other foot today as they were chasing. A win would see them leapfrog their opponents into the Cup and may even see them win it should Galacticos lose their final game.

It seemed like a return to form for Blue Collar Revolution thanks to Hicham Manaa's 8th strike of the day. He currently lead the top goalscorer charts as he spearheaded the French campaign. The Basemen hit back though through Jack Utting – his third of the tournament – for 1-1. A draw was no good for The Basemen though as they needed to find a winner.

They needed a winner and they found a winner. Jack Thomas was the hero who put The Basemen 2-1 up and turned this game on its head. It was amazing stuff. Blue Collar Revolution were unable to respond in terms of goals and the match finished 2-1. Blue Collar Revolution looked like they had missed out on the Cup but still had a glimmer of hope if Galacticos lost their final game.

What a performance and what a result for The Basemen! They were going through to the elite Cup competition.

The penultimate game of Group B was OS Sadinos versus Fail Madrid. OS Sadinos had produced the result of the day (up to that point) when they defeated Blue Collar Revolution in Round 4. They had a very small chance of making the Cup but required results to go for them. Currently Blue Collar Revolution were on 9 points (+11), Galacticos were on 9 points (+5) with a game in hand and OS Odinos were on 6 points (Even goal difference). The Portuguese needed an 11 goal win and Galacticos to lose to make the Cup. Surely not?

Fail Madrid would certainly hope not. They knew they would be playing Trophy football this afternoon but they had a chance to climb above FC Maroon into 5th place with a victory and give them a boost going into the knockout phase.

The game went with the form book as OS Sadinos opened the scoring. Pedro Charrano with the goal to put his team ahead. OS Sadinos results were 1-0, 0-1, 0-1, 1-0 so far today but there was to be more goals this time around. Simao Brito made it 2-0 and Pedro Charrano scored again for 3-0. Nuno Simoes added a fourth and Paulo Gomes made it 5-0.

Fail Madrid were to have the last laugh though as Rob Maller reduced the deficit to 5-1. Last goal wins?

The final game of Group B was FC Maroon versus Galacticos. FC Maroon were playing for pride, confidence and form as they would finish fifth regardless of the result in this fixture. In the context of the Group table most eyes were on Galacticos. As things stood they were one of three teams on 9 points in joint second but currently third on goal difference.

What was at stake for Galacticos? If they won they would win Group B by 2 points. If they drew they would move level with The Basemen at the top and win the group on goal difference. If they were to lose they would be in the Plate with Blue Collar Revolution progressing to the Cup at their expense.

The game started well enough for Galacticos as they took a 1-0 lead through Zaiahrr. They then doubled the lead thanks to Hamza Hafesji's fifth goal o the tournament. As things stood they were going through to the Cup. Ed Cotter pulled a goal back for FC Maroon to make it 2-1. There was still half the game to go so FC Maroon could still put a spanner in the works. If there were any nerves in the Galacticos camp they would have been calmed when Hamza Patel made it 3-1. With the Group B title within their grasp they sealed the win with Musaifa Hafesji's second of the tournament.

The result meant Galacticos would join The Basemen in the Cup. Blue Collar Revolution and OS Sadinos would move into the Plate draw. FC Maroon and Fail Madrid would compete in the Trophy.
