It was Cup Final time in Portugal. After 68 games of football we came down to the most important of them all. Game 69, the match that would determine the 2022 Lisbon Tournament champions.

The roll of honour for previous champions read:

2013: HS Décor (Por)

2015: Bubble Football (Por)

2016: Parques Tejo (Por)

2017: Pangere Futebol Clube (Bra)

2018: Saipan FC (Ire)

2019: Indoorsoccer Café O Trem (Por)

2022: CDAL (Por)

We had two Portuguese teams in the final as the home nation continued to enjoy success in this event. This is how we lined-up:

CDAL (Por)

Best appearance to date: Debut

Record today: Played 6, Won 6, Drawn 0, Lost 0.

Goal difference today: 21-2

Current unbeaten run: 6 games.

Today's top goalscorer: Diogo Canina, Gonzalo Machado (4)

Clean sheets: 4

RAF2 (Por)

Best appearance to date: 2015 Algarve Open champions (as Futeboladas)

Record today: Played 6, Won 4, Drawn 1, Lost 1.

Goal difference today: 20-10

Current unbeaten run: 3 games.

Today's top goalscorer: Tiago Sousa (9)

Clean sheets: 2

Based on statistics, CDAL would be favourites as they had the most goals, the best defence and therefore the best goal difference in the tournament. They were the only team with a 100% record.

These two teams had met earlier today in Group D and on that occasion it was CDAL who were victorious, 3-0. A repeat would clearly be just what the doctor ordered for CDAL. Could RAF2 exact their revenge though?

The game itself was played with a great atmosphere as the other teams all assembled pitch-side to watch the show-piece game of the day. They were to witness a high quality contest between two very technically gifted teams. Diogo Canina's fifth goal of the tournament made it 1-0 to CDAL. It would be an uphill task for RAF2 but they had Tiago Sousa in their ranks and with his 9 goals today they always had a threat.

CDAL were very adept defensively though and had just conceded 2 goals all day. They would go on to keep a fifth clean sheet in seven games and also add a second killer goal (from Alexandre) to put this Cup Final and tournament to bed.

Our sincere commiserations to RAF2 who had come so close to glory but just missed out. It was a superb day's play for them though but it was just not meant to be though.

Our congratulations go to CDAL on their debut eurofootballfives.com victory. It could be the first of many!
