Last but not least, we come to Group D where the group began with two teams making their eurofootballfives.com debuts. It was home team Montanelas FC versus travelling team Moles Salah. As they were on debut both teams had a blank canvas upon which to paint their footballing artistry. Let the games commence.

After the early exchanges it was the home team who made home advantage count. Leandro Teixeira the man to score the goal. The lead did not last too long though as Jack Barr had the honour of scoring his team's first goal in European competition.

Past the halfway stage in the game and it was still 1-1 until Leandro Teixeira put Montanelas FC 2-1 up. There was no way back for the English team this time as relatively late goals were added by Adalberto Fernandes and Teixeira (hat-trick) for a fine 4-1 win to the Portuguese.

It was a baptism of fire for Moles Salah but still plenty of time to get their campaign running.

Match 2 in Group D promised to be a classic. This was a game that was potentially worthy of the Cup Final. We had the 2017 Lisbon Tournament winners (Pangere FC Brasileiros) against 3-time eurofootballfives.com winners, Skidmarks.

Pangare Futebol Clube (Bra) became the first team to represent Brazil to claim a eurofootballfives.com title when they were victorious at the 2017 Lisbon Tournament. They made a superb start winning their first 4 games and scoring 15 goals. They then found themselves suffering a 3-0 defeat to Cruz Del Sur A. This proved to be a mere blip as two more wins meant they claimed the Group B title.

They continued their form in the knock-out phase with a 2-0 win over Leave It FC in the Quarter-Finals, a 4-1 win over Indoorsoccer in the Semi-Finals and then a 2-1 win over Wonderleague in the Cup Final.

Despite returning in 2018 and 2019 they have yet to claim title #2, could it be today? They certainly started off well enough as they claimed a superb 2-0 win over Skidmarks. Jose Matheus Rocha Dos Schoa opened the scoring for the Brazilians with William Milamezi Marques doubling the lead for 2-0.

It was a great win given the strength of the opposition.

The last two teams to get underway were White Collar Revolution versus Sirkumo FC. Both teams had sister squads in the tournament and both were playing in Group B. In fact both their sister squads had already begun their campaigns and in pretty impressive style. Blue Collar Revolution had won 4-0 whilst Galacticos had won 4-1. Now it was the turn of White Collar Revolution and Sirkumo FC – obviously not both of them could win.

With the game underway it was Sirkumo FC who struck first with Mobin Budi scoring their first of the tournament. It was a lead they would hold until past the halfway point of this game but they would be unable to keep their noses in front until full-time. Pierre Bourgois struck to level it up at 1-1 for White Collar Revolution.

In the end, it was 1 point each for the two teams. Only time would tell if this was 1 point gained or 2 points dropped.
