Round 2 started with Pangare Futebol Clube versus Trinacria A.

Pangare Futebol Clube (Bra) became the first team to represent to Brazil to claim a eurofootballfives.com title when they were victorious at the 2017 Lisbon Tournament. They made a superb start winning their first 4 games and scoring 15 goals. They then found themselves suffering a 3-0 defeat to Cruz Del Sur A. This proved to be a mere blip as two more wins meant they claimed the Group B title.

They continued their form in the knock-out phase with a 2-0 win over Leave It FC in the Quarter-Finals, a 4-1 win over Indoorsoccer in the Semi-Finals and then a 2-1 win over Wonderleague in the Cup Final.

It just goes to show what a difficult start Trinacria A had been dealt with the fixtures – first up 2017 Amsterdam Fives winners and now the 2017 Lisbon Tournament winners!

The Belgian team held their own in the first half here as the two teams reached the interval level at 0-0. In the second half the Brazilians found the breakthrough via Junior Pires. Wendell Santos made it 2-0 and the defending champions had their first win of the day in the bag.

Game 5 of Group C was to be Poland versus Portugal as PSV Hangover met Indoorsoccer. Both teams came into the contest with victory from the opening round of fixtures.

Indoorsoccer (Por) were making their third appearance at the Lisbon Tournament. They made their debut at the 2015 event and did pretty well. They finished second in their group with a record of 3 wins, 1 draw and 1 defeat as they qualified for the Cup. They beat BUILDers 3-0 in the Quarter-Finals before a 2-0 defeat to the winners Bubble Football in the Semi-Finals.

They followed this up with an appearance at the 2017 Lisbon Tournament and it was a case of déjà vu – finished second in their group and then a Cup Semi-Final defeat to the eventual winners. In the group phase they recorded 5 wins and 2 draws. A 1-0 win over Jackson's 5 in the Cup Quarters saw them qualify for the fateful Semi-Final as they went out, 4-1.

The Portuguese fell behind in this one as PSV Hangover hit the front for the second game in a row with Karol Narojczyk scoring for the second game in a row. Another man scoring for the second game in a row was Dominik Witek and his goal ultimately proved decisive in a 2-1 win for the Polish team. Abdulai was the man with the goal for Indoorsoccer.

To complete Round 2 we had Tysers versus BSP FC. PSV Hangover were 2 from 2, could BSP match them?

BSP FC (Eng) are 1 of 4 teams in the tournament line-up with a eurofootballfives title on their CV. They made their debut at the 2017 Amsterdam Fives and it was a sensational one. They won 4 out of their 5 fixtures to win Group C. There were 3 teams level on 12 points but their goal difference of +17 saw them take the win. In the knock-out phase they went from strength to strength recording 7-3, 6-1 and 7-3 wins en route to the title. They also boasted the tournament's two top scorers with Alex Richardson (22) and Kyle McLellan (14).

It was Tysers though who made the early running in this one as Lee Townsend was staking an early claim for the golden boot award. He scored twice in Round 1 and had two more for his collection here. Matt Churchill's goal meant BSP were in striking distance at 2-1 though.

In the second half Alex Richardson scored his second of the tournament to put BSP FC back on level terms. Kyle McLellan then hit the winner as the two men, with 36 goals between them in Amsterdam, turned this game around in Lisbon. BSP FC were joint top.

The result was a tough one for Tysers. Close but no cigar.
