The first game of Round 2 saw ASCPM taking on Danish Dynamites. ASCPM from Rabat in Morocco had lost their opening game and this was probably the last fixture they needed to bounce back. The Danish Dynamites team proved just how strong they were in the group phase of the 2017 Barcelona Fives.

After losing their first game in Barcelona, their group record read:

Played 7, Won 5, Drawn 1, Lost 1, Scored 17, Conceded 5.

Including the knock-out games in Barcelona and their first match today in Lisbon the Danish team had gone 9 games unbeaten in normal time (they only lost in Barca on penalties). It looked like a 10th game unbeaten was on the cards when they went 2-0 up in the first half here. Jesper Frisch and Jens Bodker Knudsen were both on target as they had been in Round 1.

It got better for Danish Dynamites in the second half as Jesper Frisch completed his hat-trick and Jens Bodker Knudsen added his second of the game. The Danes were flying with 2 wins out of 2.

As in Round 1, ASCPM managed to claim a consolation. Riffi Imad was the scorer this time but they were still looking for their first points. Final score, 5-1.

The final game of Round 2 was FC Broxelona A versus FC United of Bob.

FC United of Bob (Eng) made their European debut at the 2017 Vilnius Tournament. It was an excellent start as they negotiated the group phase without defeat. They began with two 1-0 wins over Wealdstone Raiders and Lithuanian team VSG United. They then had two draws against LMH FC and France's The A Team. Second place in Group A saw them qualify for the Cup.

Their Quarter-Final draw in the Cup could not have been tougher! They would meet CIS Committee of Belarus who had won 3 previous eurofootballfives tournaments. FC United of Bob lost 2-0 as the team from Belarus went on to win their fourth title.

They opened up with a 3-0 defeat to Danish Dynamites in Round 1 and were now looking to bounce back. FC Broxelona A were their targets. This was our first look at FC Broxelona A today due to the late withdrawal of Futsal Pioes. Could this work to their advantage? More time to clear the hangover, lungs and legs well rested? Or, would they have stifferend up awaiting their tournament bow in Lisbon?

Whatever impact it may (or may not) have had it was FC United of Bob who drew first blood. Dan Savin the man with his team's first goal of the day. It was FC United of Bob who lead at half-time. It was to be a goal in each half for Savin as he doubled his personal tally and his team's haul in the second period to round off a 2-0 win.
