The
first game of Round 2 saw ASCPM taking on Danish
Dynamites. ASCPM from Rabat in Morocco had lost
their opening game and this was probably the last
fixture they needed to bounce back. The Danish
Dynamites team proved just how strong they were
in the group phase of the 2017 Barcelona Fives.
After
losing their first game in Barcelona, their group
record read:
Played
7, Won 5, Drawn 1, Lost 1, Scored 17, Conceded
5.
Including
the knock-out games in Barcelona and their first
match today in Lisbon the Danish team had gone
9 games unbeaten in normal time (they only lost
in Barca on penalties). It looked like a 10th
game unbeaten was on the cards when they went
2-0 up in the first half here. Jesper Frisch and
Jens Bodker Knudsen were both on target as they
had been in Round 1.
It
got better for Danish Dynamites in the second
half as Jesper Frisch completed his hat-trick
and Jens Bodker Knudsen added his second of the
game. The Danes were flying with 2 wins out of
2.
As
in Round 1, ASCPM managed to claim a consolation.
Riffi Imad was the scorer this time but they were
still looking for their first points. Final score,
5-1.
