Round 3 started with €agles 3:36 taking on It's Back. Both teams were looking to gain their first goals and first points of the day on the field of play. It had been a fairly chastening morning for the teams in their games against Bubble Football and Cheesecake FC.

It's Back had so far trailed 1-0 at the break in each of their previous two games and it was to be groundhog day for them as they conceded the opening goal of the game for the third game running. Mike O'Sullivan was the man who scored €agles 3:36's first goal of their Lisbon campaign.

In the second period Simon Bransgrove put €agles 3:36 2-0 up and they looked well set for the 3 points. The team from New Milton kept it tight at the back and saw the game out. The victory put them joint top of the table although the other two teams on 6 points were still yet to play.

Could this be a springboard for €agles 3:36's campaign? I hope It's Back don't mind us saying it was back to the drawing board for them.

We mentioned above that the other two teams on 6 points were yet to play but in the case of Cheesecake FC that wasn't quite the case. For Cheesecake it was their turn to put up their feet and rest as they claimed their 3-0 walkover win over the absent Casa Amarela.

The next action on the pitch in Group D was Saga Louts versus Bubble Football. Bubble Football were in seemingly invincible form having won 4-0 and 6-0 so far. Saga Louts had some task on their hands over the coming two halves of football.

Bubble Football set about their task well and with real zeal and relish. They were popping the ball around with consummate ease and their movement off the ball was sublime. Saga Louts would have to work extremely hard to get anything from this game. Bruno Mendes scored for the third game running to break the deadlock and Bubble Football forged a 3-0 lead by half-time with Nelson Martins and Ricardo Costa scoring the other goals that put them in control. The half-time turnaround provided some brief respite.

The second half was a repeat of the first with Tiago Mendes turning 3-0 into 4-0. Ivo Simoes kept up his goal per game record before a second of the game for Tiago Mendes meant Bubble Football had hit Saga Louts for six.

The result put Bubble Football top of the table – they had 9 points along with Cheesecake FC – but their goal difference of +16 after three games was formidable.
