In
the next game we had Indoorsoccer looking for
their first victory. They were due to face Ealing
Expendables. Both teams had claimed a draw from
their opening games.
Earlier,
we promised a fuller preview of Ealing Expendables
who kicked off their eurofootballfives.com journey
at the 2014 Valencia Fives and made an impressive
start to life in Europe. They won Group C with
four wins from four games to qualify for the
Cup competition. They emerged victorious from
a 10-goal thriller in the Quarter-Finals seeing
off Real L'Bourne 6-4. There were goals aplenty
in their Semi-Final too but this time they were
on the wrong end of a 7-3 scoreline to Spain's
Penethinaikos.
Indoorsoccer
made the early running in this game as they
forged ahead through Andre Medalha. It was to
get even better for the home side when Joao
Farinha put them in firm control of this game.
At half-time it was 2-0 to Indoorsoccer and
they were in a commanding position.
That
position was not too commanding in the second
half when Ben Esprit reduced the deficit to
2-1 and it was game on. Ben Esprit had enjoyed
a sensational start to the day with two goals
in two games. Indoorsoccer had enough in the
tank to prevent Ealing Expendables completing
the comeback and the Portuguese moved into second
place in the Group A table.
