Group B began with Spider Mans & Eagle versus BUILDers.

As we saw in Group A, Spider Mans & Eagle made an impressive debut at the 2014 Bratislava Fives. They lost their first game, 3-0, to eventual champions CIS Committee but bounced back in style. 2-0 and 3-1 victories followed before a 2-2 draw consolidated their progress. They finished off the group with a 3-0 win to take 2nd place and qualify for the Cup. In the Quarter-Finals they battled out a 2-2 draw with Shahs of Sunset before a penalty shoot-out saw them exit the competition. Fast forward to May 2015 and they appeared again at the 2015 Budapest Fives finishing 3 rd in a group that would also contain the eventual champions. They qualified for the Cup and recorded a thumping 5-0 win in the Quarter-Finals before meeting CIS Committee in the Semi-Finals. They lost to them in Bratislava and were to do so again in Budapest but it was a good performance despite the 3-1 defeat.

BUILDers were on debut and it was a tough opening game on foreign soil but it was a task they took to admirably. It was BUILDers who scored the first goal in Group B through Joe Clark. It was a lead BUILDers were to retain until the half-time turnaround.

In the second half Spider Mans & Eagle hit back through Liam Stevens and that's how we finished, 1-1. It was a solid opening point and only time would tell if it was a point gained or two points dropped.

Match 2 saw PPB versus The Crazy Gang. PPB was the first Portuguese team in action in Group B and were on debut so we would have our first glimpse of them in action shortly.

The Crazy Gang made their eurofootballfives.com debut in 2010 when we held a charity tournament in Manchester on behalf of The Prostate Cancer Charity. They finished 5th in their 6-team group and narrowly missed out on the knock-out phase. Last year they made their European debut at the 2014 Bratislava Fives and drew a highly competitive group finishing in 6th position. A Trophy Quarter-Final followed where they went out to the eventual Trophy Winners, Ziar Crew. We wish them luck on their second overseas tour.

It proved to be a difficult start for The Crazy Gang as they quickly found themselves 3-0 down as Bruno Paco and Alvarao Magallias (twice) found the net for the local team. After half-time Alvarao Magallias completed his hat-trick to make it 4-0 before Joao Nabais rounded off a superb 5-0 victory and PPB lead Group B.

The last two teams to take to the field were Boa Hora and Two Balls One Touch. Both teams were on debut and so they had a blank canvas upon which to paint their footballing artistry. Let the games commence……

It was advantage Portugal after the early exchanges as Rafael Flaguerias scored his team's first goal in a eurofootballfives.com tournament. He did not have to wait long for his second as Rafael Flaguerias doubled his own personal tally and his team's score to lead 2-0 at the break.

The second half was a continuation of the first as Rafael Flaguerias went on to complete a fine personal hat-trick. The Portuguese extended their lead to 3-0 but there was to be no further damage.

It was a tough baptism of fire for Two Balls One Touch but time was still very much on their side to make their mark in Group B.
