Round 4 of Group A began with the biggest game to date – Fidelidade versus Indoorsoccer. It was a clash between the two unbeaten teams in the group with much to play for. Fidelidade could seal Cup qualification with a win. A win for Indoorsoccer would make these two favourites – but not guaranteed. A draw would see them edge closer to the Cup but give the chasing teams some hope. The two teams could not rest on their laurels.

Fidelidade would no doubt start favourites as they were the top scoring team in the group with 9 goals and the best defence with no goals conceded. They had an impressive 100% record. Indoorsoccer had claimed 7 points out of a possible 9 with 4 goals to their name and 2 against – this would be their biggest challenge yet.

If we had pitch-side bookies they would no doubt make Fidelidade favourites and the game went with the imaginary form book. Vitor Deus had his goal-scoring boots on this morning and he continued his run of form scoring his fourth of the morning. He gave his team the lead in the first half and from then on their defence held firm – as it had done all day.

The final score was 1-0 Fidelidade and they had qualified for the Cup with one game to spare. Indoorsoccer were still on course to join them but now had work to do.

Ealing Expendables were up next and were up against Spider Mans & Great Hawk. Both teams had a win, a loss and a draw on four points and trailed Indoorsoccer by 3 points. With games running out a win here would be massive in the context of Group A and give them every chance of making the Cup in Round 5. A defeat would virtually end the losing team's hopes and a draw would make it difficult for both.

Spider Mans & Great Hawk struck the first blow as Ryan Stevens scored his second goal of the tournament to give his side the advantage. It was a lead Stevens and his team would maintain until the break.

At the change of ends Ealing Expendables knew they needed to score but they found a Spider Mans & Great Hawk team resolute in defence and a team who held on to their 1-0 advantage and claim all 3 points.

It was a result that put Spider Mans & Great Hawk joint second but third in the table on goal difference with just one game to go. Ealing Expendables now had to beat Fidelidade and hope Indoorsoccer and Spider Mans & Great Hawk both lost in Round 5 in order to make the Cup.

Frank Hirth A had an outside opportunity to qualify for the Cup – they needed to win their final two games and hope other results went their way. Naturally there first priority was to win this game and see where Round 5 took them. In their way stood Where's Dave? who could still make the Plate with a couple of positive results in their last two games.

So far in Round 4 we had seen 1st versus 2nd, 3rd versus 4th and now we had 5th versus 6th. The first half came and went with the two teams locked at 0-0. A draw would not really suit either team and leave them in 5th and 6th positions. Could these teams find the goal(s) they desperately needed?

For one team that answer was no, for the other it was a yes. It would be Frank Hirth A celebrating the goal as Harry Klingenspor scored the vital goal. He scored 7 at the 2014 Berlin Fives and now had his second here in Lisbon. It was a goal that earned his team all 3 points and whilst they remained in 5th position they were now within 3 points of 2nd position going into the final round of games.
