Group C kicked off with AB Kirby FC versus Sportsman Arenal. AB Kirby FC made their debut in last year's 2012 Budapest Fives finishing second in their 6-team group behind France's L'Albiceleste. They qualified for the Cup competition before going out to Budapest Celtic Tigers of Hungary at the Cup Quarter-Final stage. They boast in their line-up Chris Williams who has 2 winners and 2 runners-up medals in eurofootballfives.com competition for Goldsmith Williams who played here in the 2012 Mallorca Tournament. Will that experience hold A.B Kirby FC in good stead for this year's tournament?

Sportsman Arenal have previously played in our Mallorca events on 3 occasions and in 2012 had a particularly successful campaign. They had a 100% record with 5 wins out of 5 to win a group with two previous eurofootballfives.com winners. The unbeaten record went on to 6 games with a Cup Quarter-Final win before unlucky fixture 7 saw them crash out at the hands of Di Stefano Peluguira. They played in May's Mallorca Fives but 4 draws in 5 games stunted their progress and meant they missed out on the knock-out stages. They are expected to be stronger in June.

There were plenty of goals in this one but Sportsman Arenal had just enough to claim the victory 3-2. Ruben Drober and Diego Medines (2) for Sportsman Arenal outgunned the firepower of Sam Humphreys and Jonnie Brennan for AB Kirby FC.

Match 2 saw Spanish side Peluqeria Styl take on Whiteley Bad Boys. Peluqeria Styl played as Di Stefano Peluqeria last year and won their group before going all the way to the Cup Final where they lost out to Cosegur Balear. Could they go one step further in 2013?

As we saw from the preview in Group B Whiteley FC are old hats at eurofootballfives.com competition and this was their 5 th tournament. It was a tough opening fixture for them but they did pretty well in the first half although could not prevent themselves going 1-0 down to a Gabriel Caldentey Boadas goal.

After the break it was a different story though as Peluqeria Styl surged ahead with Boadas the chief architect of the win his goals extended the lead to 3-0. A Diego Rodriguez double made it 5-0 before Boadas made it 6-0. It was a great start for the Spanish team.

El A Dees made their debut in the November 2011 Barca Fives where they made a fine impact winning their 5-team group ahead of a talented Samurai Japan team. They then fell at the Cup Quarter-Final stage 2-1 to 2009 winners Rapid Bosco Navas. They returned to action in the 2012 Amsterdam Fives and came so close to glory finishing Runners-Up as they lost a pulsating final 5-3 to local Dutch side CEPL. They began their campaign against debutants Tommy's Tits.

El A Dees almost didn't make the start sleeping through their alarm and missing the tournament coach. However, they made a sterling effort to arrive at the ground just a few minutes before their first game kicked off. Not ideal preparation and they quickly found themselves 2-0 down as Adam Hutchings scored twice in the first half.

Tommy's Tits were looking good and it was a promising debut. El A Dees grew into the game in the second period but the damage was already done and Tommy's Tits were too good to let the lead slip. Final score, 2-0.
