The first game in Round 4 was Barley FC versus Arenal Vets. Barley FC had so far gone Win-Loss-Win and would be hoping to end that sequence by adding another win on the end. If they could their prize would be to move to the top of Group B with Policia Mallorca.

For Arenal Vets it was an unwanted 100% record as they had lost all three of their games to date. Once you're in one of those runs it was very tough to stop the rot as tired legs get heavier and heads can drop. Barley FC were in no mood to go easy on their opponents and completed the victory they would have hoped for.

There were two goals in each half for Barley FC and they won 4-0. Greg Cherrington got the ball rolling before Aaron Talbot doubled the lead. John Bailey made it 3-0 and Greg Oliver scored the fourth and final goal.

Barley FC were level with Policia Mallorca at the top of the table but Policia Mallorca did still have their fourth game to play.

Next up was Policia Mallorca versus Cheesecake FC. When the groups were drawn we thought this game would possibly be the Group B title decider. Policia Mallorca had lived up to the billing but Cheesecake FC were struggling in 4 th place. In truth, they were not playing too badly they were just not their usual clinical selves and were struggling to breakdown the opposition and conceding goals you may not expect them to concede.

Cheesecake FC was on their worst run in eurofootballfives.com with two defeats in a row but Cup qualification was still a possibility. If they could win their final two group games they could well qualify and with renewed confidence and momentum who knows how far they could go!

They probably did not want Policia Mallorca in a must win game. Their form had returned a little bit in this game but they could not get the win they wanted as the match finished 0-0. The result ended Cheesecake FC's hopes of qualifying for the Cup for a 5th successive tournament.

The draw was enough for Policia Mallorca to go top in their own right by just the one point and they left a little bit of work to do in their final game.

The final game of Round 4 was Whiteley Galacticos versus Kazakhstan FC. Both teams had played well so far but Kazakhstan FC were three points to the better on 6 points. Kazakhstan FC had won two games in a row and a third would put them in joint second position and mean the top three teams would be separated by just the one point.

Whiteley Galacticos' situation was similar to that of Cheesecake FC – win their last two games and they could still make the Cup. With their last game due to be against the winless Arenal Vets this was still very much possible. Whiteley Galacticos had to win this one though.

It was Kazakhstan FC who started the quicker and it was Phillip Beeston who struck first. It got better for them and worse for Whiteley Galacticos as Mik Nelson doubled the lead for Kazakhstan FC. There was to be no way back for Whiteley Galacticos against a Kazakhstan team that had only conceded one goal all day.

Whiteley Galacticos's Cup hopes were over, Kazakhstan FC's were still very much alive.
