Barley FC and Cheesecake FC went into their third fixtures with identical records – both won their first game, both lost their second game and both needed to get back to winning ways to get their 2013 Mallorca Tournament campaign back on track.

It was a case of déjà vu for Cheesecake FC as they found themselves level at 1-1 for the second game in a row. Wes Armstrong scored his third goal of the tournament for Cheesecake FC and John Bailey opened his account for Barley FC.

Luke East put Barley FC ahead after the break and Cheesecake FC were staring down the barrel of another 2-1 defeat. Until Round 2 they had suffered just 1 defeat in 18 group games but they were now looking at two defeats in a row. Cheesecake FC put the Barley FC goal under siege but Barley FC were up to the task. They defended well and secured the victory.

Cheesecake FC were struggling for the first time in eurofootballfives.com history. It didn't matter to Barley FC who were flying high in 2nd place.

Kazakhstan FC were up next against Arenal Vets. Kazakhstan FC came into the game on the back of their first win of the day and they would fancy their chances against an Arenal Vets team who were yet to register points and yet to score their first goal of the tournament.

Kazakhstan FC were frustrated by Arenal Vets for long periods of this game and the two teams reached the break all square at 0-0. The pressure was on Kazakhstan FC to try and claim the 3 points as in the context of the group a draw would be considered two dropped points and arguably not a point gained.

Eventually the breakthrough game and it was Mik Nelson who scored the vital goal. Kazakhstan had the lead and it was a lead they would not relinquish. They doubled their advantage when Brian Leigh scored and with that all three points were in the bag.

Kazakhstan were up to joint second position but sad in third place due to Barley FC's superior goal difference.

The final game of Round 3 saw Whiteley Galacticos face Policia Mallorca. Whiteley Stags came into the game with confidence on the back of a win but it would be a tough game ahead of them as Policia Mallorca had so far secured the maximum 6 points available thus far.

Whiteley FC had met Policia Mallorca last year when the Spanish team beat Whiteley Stags 3-1. A repeat of this would do just nicely for Policia Mallorca. There was very little in it for much of the game and half-time was reached with the teams level at 0-0. Whiteley FC would possibly take a point from this game and look for wins elsewhere to qualify for the Cup but having just seen off Cheesecake FC maybe their aims were higher. Policia Mallorca would have been determined to get the win to keep their 100% record going.

The game then seemed to hinge on a controversial moment that led to the opening goal. Whiteley FC believed the referee had given them a corner and they sent men forward and lined up in advance positions for the corner but a goal kick was given. With Whiteley Galacticos stranded up field Policia Mallorca took a swift counter attack and scored through Antonio Bullon Pujol.

The goal had a huge impact on the game, not just on the scoreline but also on the team's psychological approach to the game. Antonio Bullon Pujol made it 2-0 but the game had already gone for Whiteley Galacticos.
