Barley FC and Kazakhstan FC were both involved in 1-0 games in Round 1 – Barley FC were on the right side of the scoreline, Kazakhstan FC were on the wrong side of the scoreline.

As we've seen, these two were both involved in close opening games and this game was proving equally close. The two teams were looking pretty evenly matched and regular eurofootballfives.com followers will recall that these two teams met back in the 2012 Barcelona Fives. On that occasion, it was Kazakhstan FC who emerged victorious 3-1.

There were less goals in the Mallorca fixture but there was to be goals – one of them anyway. Kazakhstan FC made it 2 wins out of 2 against Barley FC as Phillip Beeston scored the goal that earned Kazakhstan all 3 points.

Game 5 of Group B saw Cheesecake FC take on Whiteley Galacticos. Cheesecake FC as we've seen is one of the best teams not to have won a eurofootballfives.com tournament. We saw their preview in Round 1 but need to bring this fully up-to-date as they competed in the 2013 Berlin Fives last weekend. In Germany, they won their group with a 100% record, without conceding a goal and losing in the Cup Semi-Finals to eventual winners ABC United.

We'd seen Cheesecake FC start well in Group B with a 7-0 win but they were finding Whiteley Galacticos tougher opponents. We reached half-time level at 1-1 thanks to goals from Kev Raphael (Cheesecake FC) and Nick Poling (Whiteley). The second half stayed at 1-1 for some time before a winning goal at the very end. History might lead you to believe this went to Cheesecake FC but you'd be wrong as Jake Alford struck the winning blow for Whiteley Galacticos.

It was one hell of a win for Whiteley. Let us put this in perspective…before today Cheesecake FC had won 14 group games, drawn 2 and lost just one (against last year's winners) scoring 58 goals in the process and conceding just 10. This was one hell of a win for Whiteley.

Cheesecake FC had only ever lost to the eventual winners of a tournament in 4 previous campaigns – Whiteley Galacticos would hope that was going to be the case again!

We finished off Round 2 with Arenal Vets versus Policia Mallorca. Arenal Vets had lost their first game whereas Policia Mallorca had won theirs so you could well imagine that Policia Mallorca were favourites for this one.

The favourites were living up to their billing as they scored twice without reply in the first half and three times without reply in the second half. The source of the goals was Alejandro Viso (2), Antonio Bullon Pujol, Nacho Dosil Mayol and Jose Batista Buzon. Final score, 5-0.

Policia Mallorca were top of the group after Round 2, Arenal Vets were in 6th place.
