Round 2 started with Rigford Seahawks Omega versus Red Cow Belgrade. Both teams had successful starts to their campaign with opening game victories and would be looking to continue this encouraging start here.

 

What we saw was two teams who were pretty evenly matched and at half-time we were all square at 0-0. If either team could find a winner they would move three points clear at the top. A draw would allow them to consolidate their position at the top of the group.

 

A winning goal would prove elusive and the teams had to settle for a share of the spoils. Only time would tell if this was a point gained or two points dropped. For now, it meant two games unbeaten at the start of the tournament.

 
 
 

Team Bear were up next as they took on The Milf Hunters. Team Bear had looked impressive in the first game and with Rigford Seahawks Omega and Red Cow Belgrade drawing in the game above, Team Bear had the chance to move clear at the top with victory.

 

The Milf Hunters got off to a flyer with the first goal in Group C but subsequently slipped to a 2-1 defeat. Things didn't start off so well in this game as Team Bear surged unto a 3-0 lead with goals from Billy Saunders, Justin Bowen and Simon Hanover.

 

It was 3-0 in the first half and also 3-0 in the second half as Simon Hanover made it 4-0, Billy Saunders made it 5-0 before Simon Hanover completed his hat-trick and the 6-0 victory. Team Bear were looking good on top of Group C.

 
 
 

To complete Round 2 we had Budapest Celtic Pumas versus Hungary Hungary Heggos. We had two teams who had slipped to opening game defeat and needed to kickstart their campaigns in this fixture.

 

Budapest Celtic Pumas took the early initiative and never let it go as with two goals in each half they completed a fine 4-0 win. There were goals from Tobias Gustaffson, two for Krisztian Farkas and another goal for “Krisztian” as they climbed the table from 6th to 4th.

 

Hungary Hungary Heggos slipped a place from 4th into 5th.
