Match
2 saw Los Langeros on Bozeat All Stars. Los
Langeros (Ire) joined us for the first time
in Valencia 2012 although some members of the
squad also participated in the 2012 Barcelona
Fives as part of a stag weekend. In Barcelona
they sported some spectacular hangovers that
hindered the progress on the pitch with the
two teams Doofies Dynamos and Rick's Trick United
each finishing 5th in their respective groups.
In Valencia they finished 5th (in 6 team groups
this time) in a tough group and made the Trophy
Semi-Finals before going down at the hands of
FC Dad.
Bozeat
All Stars made their debut at the 2011 Krakow
Trophy (at the same venue that England used
as their Euro 2012 training base) and had quite
a debut. They finished 2nd in their opening
group behind Dutch team and eventual Runners-Up,
CEPL. They progressed to the Cup group and finished
4th overall in the tournament on a stunning
summer's day in Poland. They returned to action
in the 2012 Barcelona Fives with two teams –
the Bozeat All Stars finished 3rd (out of 5)
in the Group of Death and narrowly missed out
on a Plate Final as they lost out via Golden
Goal to Barley FC in the Semis.
Bozeat
All Stars got off to the fastest start with
Marty Legg and Joel Piper putting their team
2-0 up by the break. There was to be no addition
to the score in the second period and Bozeat
All Starts were up and running with all 3 points.
