It was 5th versus 6th at the start of Round 3 with The Puskas Dolls meeting Wokingam FC. For the winners there was a chance to be right in the mix of the qualification places, a defeat would leave life difficult whilst a draw would not really help either team too much and keep them in 5th/6th.

The early advantage was held by Wokingham FC as Martin Scott opened his team's account for the tournament. The Puskas Dolls did not get to the final in Valencia for nothing though and they fought back through Emmet Egan and Cormac Breen. Wokingham pulled it back to 2-2 through Nick Brown and then there was a controversial moment when The Puskas Dolls scored direct from the kick-off but the referee disallowed it – we're not quite sure why.

It was the difference between 1 and 3 points for the Puskas Dolls but they had to settle for their 2nd draw in 3 games. Wokingham FC had their first points on the board.

Budapest Celtic Tigers started their campaign for a 3rd Budapest Cup Final slowly with defeat. They were back to winning ways in their second game but now had a tough task to continue that form when they met team of the moment – Shahs of Sunset.

The latter team were looking to make it 3 wins out of 3 and keep their grip firmly on Group A. Things went to plan for the travelling team as Martin Weltman gave the Shahs a 1-0 lead. Shahs of Sunset had goals from everywhere and were certainly sharing them around. Paul Lehair got in on the act next to make it 2-0 and seal all three points in a 2-0 win. Benyounes with clean sheet #3.

The Shahs of Sunset were on the march but Budapest Celtic Tigers were left in the mid-table places with work to do to qualify for the Cup.

To complete Round 3 was BBFC1 versus Les 5 Salopards. It was 2nd versus 3rd and a win was vital for either to keep tabs with Shahs of Sunset above. As things stood the teams were 5 points and 4 points respectively behind the group leaders but this was their game in hand to catch up.

The game was pretty close in the opening period as you may expect and the teams turned around still level at 0-0. In the second half it went a bit goal crazy and sadly for BBFC1 it was all in favour of Les 5 Salopards. Captain Mounir Tarbi opened the scoring before a rapid hat-trick from Yanick Jista.

The game finished 4-0 and it was Les 5 Salopards who jumped ahead of their opponents into 2nd position whilst BBFC1 slipped to 3rd place.
