Round 4 of Group A began with the all-conquering Shahs of Sunset versus The Puskas Dolls. There was maybe a score to settle here as the teams met in the 2012 Valencia Fives Cup Quarter-Finals when The Puskas Dolls were playing as Mestallaban.

On that occasion it finished 2-2 with the Irish victorious on penalties. In the context of this group Shahs of Sunset were flying at the top of the group whilst The Puskas Dolls were stuttering in 5th place largely to competing well but only drawing games.

The run of draws for the Irish was to continue as they were becoming the draw specialists with 3 in 4. The game finished 0-0 and The Puskas Dolls became the first team to shut out the Shahs of Sunset.

At the other end, it was an incredible 4th clean sheet in a row for Benyounes – was anyone going to beat this man? A draw kept the Shahs of Sunset on top of Group A.

The closest challengers to Shahs of Sunset were up next when Les 5 Salopards met Wokingham FC. A win for the French would put them just a point off 1 st place and seal their Cup qualification. They must have gone into the game on a high after fine second-half last time out.

Wokingham FC needed the points for other reasons but they should also have been buoyed by collecting their first points in their last game. Their resurgence in form continued as Sam Marshall gave the English team a 1-0 lead at half-time.

The French were a good side though and they hit back through Nabil Kaidi's first goal of the game and Yanick Jista's 4th in 2 games. They would not claim victory though as Sam Andrews goal ensured the points would be shared in a 2-2 draw.

It was a second successive 2-2 draw for Wokingham FC as they accumulated points. Les 5 Salopards moved a point closer to Shahs of Sunset and Cup qualification.

Next up was a crucial fixture between BBFC1 and Budapest Celtic Tigers. Only a point separated the two teams in 3rd and 4th and the result of this game would go a long way to deciding their fate - a win for either would give them the advantage in trying to secure a Cup place. A defeat made things especially difficult whereas a draw left things out of their own hands in many ways.

BBFC1 would need to recover from a tough second half in their last game and find their form of the first 2.5 games. They did and looked much more like that solid team we'd seen at the start. Budapest Celtic Tigers were again looking to bounce back from defeat and they didn't help themselves when an own goal gave their English opponents a 1-0 lead.

BBFC1 played very well thereafter to see the game out and they kept their third clean sheet to claim the 1-0 win. They were up into 3rd, level with Les 5 Salopards on points and they were right in the mix to qualify for the Cup.

For Budapest Celtic Tigers there would be no 3rd successive Budapest Fives Cup Final in a row as they could now only make the Plate and could even miss out on qualification altogether if results went against them in Round 5.
