Group C was really hotting up as we entered Round 4. Match 10 of the group was Panadero Loco Sport versus Turn Down For Watford. These were our top two teams coming head-to-head.

Panadero Loco Sport had the only 100% record in Group C with 3 wins out of 3 so far. They were on 9 points with 10 goals scored for and just 1 against. Turn Down For Watford slipped to opening game defeat but had since taken maximum points. They had the best goal difference in the group with 11 goals scored and just 1 conceded.

A win for Panadero Loco Sport would secure Cup qualification with a game to spare and virtually assure them the Group C title. A win for Turn Down For Watford would see them climb above their opponents on goal difference going into the final round of fixtures.

Despite the 21 goals scored between the teams so far there was to be no score in this game. Both teams were respectful of the opposition and kept things tight. Whilst both teams were going for the win maybe there was a tactical element about not losing his game especially for Panadero Loco Sport who had the extra points in the bank.

The 0-0 draw was more useful for the Spanish side. Only time would tell if it was 1 point gained or 2 points dropped for Turn Down For Watford.

At the start of Round 4, Elysian FC were level with Turn Down For Watford in second position. As Turn Down For Watford were playing the league leaders there was the potential for dropped points so it became imperative for Elysian FC that they took all 3 points from their game to advance their claim for Cup qualification.

Elysian FC were up against GAT Assurance of Tunisia who were looking for their first win of the tournament. They had so far produced 0-4 defeat, 0-0 draw, 0-2 defeat. A win for GAT Assurance would move them up to fourth position in the table.

It looked good for GAT Assurance as they established a 1-0 half-time lead thanks to Ghazi Khelifi scoring their first goal in eurofootballfives.com competition. As the second half continued it looked better and better for the Tunisians as time was running out for Elysian FC. The English team were laying siege to the Tunisian goal but it looked like they would be empty handed.

However, step forward Cem Temur. The goalkeeper who was now in an advanced sweeper position – with time running out he struck the ball from distance and it nestled in the back of the net for a stunning equalizer. What a finish to the game, 1-1. GAT Assurance had been denied that first win.

Round 4 games in Group C were being simultaneously so Fylde Old Boys FC may not have known it but results were going favourably for them on Pitch A & B. Turn Down For Watford were being held 0-0 by Panadero Loco Sport on Pitch A and Elysian FC were losing then drawing with GAT Assurance on Pitch B.

Fylde Old Boys FC had a golden opportunity to claim 3 points and climb up the table. If they could it would be a three team tie in Group C covering positions 2nd to 4th going into the final round of fixtures.

In Fylde's way stood Brewin Dolphin B who were looking for their first points of the day. Fylde Od Boys FC made no mistake as they secured a 3-0 win. Nat Smithies set them on their way with his first goal of the tournament. Chris Brown bagged his second and then Ramzy Elftesi opened his personal account.

There was a second clean sheet for Jonny Schofield as Fylde Old Boys now shared second place. They found themselves in fourth place on a mixure of goal difference/goals scored but they were in with a fighting chance of reaching the Cup going into the final round of games.
