At
the start of Round 4, Elysian FC were level with
Turn Down For Watford in second position. As Turn
Down For Watford were playing the league leaders
there was the potential for dropped points so
it became imperative for Elysian FC that they
took all 3 points from their game to advance their
claim for Cup qualification.
Elysian
FC were up against GAT Assurance of Tunisia who
were looking for their first win of the tournament.
They had so far produced 0-4 defeat, 0-0 draw,
0-2 defeat. A win for GAT Assurance would move
them up to fourth position in the table.
It
looked good for GAT Assurance as they established
a 1-0 half-time lead thanks to Ghazi Khelifi scoring
their first goal in eurofootballfives.com competition.
As the second half continued it looked better
and better for the Tunisians as time was running
out for Elysian FC. The English team were laying
siege to the Tunisian goal but it looked like
they would be empty handed.
However,
step forward Cem Temur. The goalkeeper who was
now in an advanced sweeper position – with time
running out he struck the ball from distance and
it nestled in the back of the net for a stunning
equalizer. What a finish to the game, 1-1. GAT
Assurance had been denied that first win.
