Next up in Group B on Pitch B was ASAL Sports (USA) versus Bede FC (Eng). This was another case of a team on debut versus a highly experienced team in our tournaments. Bede FC were making their 9th appearance in our events.

This was a historic match in our tournaments as it represented the first ever appearance by a team from the USA in our tournaments. The USA became the 38th nation to have team representation at our events. They follow-on from Finland who were the 37th at the 2019 Gdansk Tournament. If you read on to Group C you will see a debut for the 39th nation.

As debuts go it was a pretty good one for the USA. Taylor Henry had the honour of scoring his team's first goal in eurofootballfives.com competition. Anton Kovesmikov became the second as ASAL Sports took a 2-0 lead into half-time.

The second half had a familiar feel with Taylor Henry making it 3-0. Mikael Mas then completed the scoring for a solid 4-0 victory.

Game 3 of Group B saw Spanish team Atletico San Bas taking on Alicounty. Atletico San Bas were the third team in the group to be making their debut at our events.

We were delighted to welcome back Alicounty who played for the first time in our events at the 2011 Valencia Fives as County (Re)United. They finished 3 rd in their 5 team group before bowing out in the Quarter-Final stage to Coverton Road. They followed this up in the 2012 Krakow Trophy with a twin-pronged attack as Half Parisian Saint Germain and D'ya Want Florentina. D'ya Want Florentina were the most successful of the two squads reaching the Plate Semi-Finals. They had two teams again in the 2013 Barcelona Fives - Farcelona finishing 3rd in Group B and JF & The Pullbacks finishing 2nd in Group E. Both teams qualified for the Plate competition in which JF & The Pullbacks went all the way to Final before a 1-0 defeat to Ireland's Depo All Stars.

Their most recent performance was the 2014 Mallorca Tournament where they had 3 teams - Paris St Gentleman, Booka Juniors and Athletic 8Minute Abilbao. Booka Juniors were the most successful with 4 wins out 4 in the group phase but went out 1-0 in the Cup Quarter-Finals to Palma Select. Athletic 8minute Bilbao qualified for the Plate and went all the way to the final to collect runners-up medals (3-1 to Brioche). There were 4 teams in the Wooden Spoon competition which Paris St Gentleman won.

It appeared Alicounty had drawn a tough opening fixture as Atletico San Bas were making a good first impression. A double from Gilen Arrieta Caleada secured a 2-0 victory for the local team.
