Atletico San Bas and Cheesecake FC kicked off Round 4. This was the top two coming face to face. This game would go a long way to deciding who would win Group B.

Atletico San Bas currently topped the table on 9 points with 11 goals scored and none conceded. Cheesecake FC were just behind on 7 points with 2 goals scored and none conded. Congratulations so far to Domec Garcia Romero and Gavin McEvoy for their tournament clean sheets. It looked, on paper at least, that the extra firepower of Atletico San Bas could well be the difference in this game.

It might be worth pointing out at this stage that Cheesecake FC were missing their top goalscorer Kevin Raphael. He won the golden boot at the 2014 Mallorca Tournament and 2018 Amsterdam Sixes but was injured for this event. His goals would certainly be a miss for Cheesecake FC.

The two previous games in Group B had finished 3-1 and 8-0 but we resorted back to the closely contested matches and were to get yet another 1-0 result in this game.

Alberto Mateo Del Puenite popped up at just the right time to score his first goal of the day for Atletico San Bas. It secured all 3 points for his team and guaranteed the Spanish a place in the Cup competition. Cheesecake FC still had work to do to join them.

Next up was ASAL Sports versus Alicounty. ASAL Sports started Round 4 in third position but would no doubt be buoyed by Cheesecake FC's defeat in the previous game. A victory for ASAL Sports would see them move up into second position in the table and favourites to take the second automatic Cup qualification place.

Alicounty had motivation themselves for victory. 3 points would move them level with their opponents. It would then mean just 1 point separated second to fourth positions. Alicounty would meet bottom team Bede FC in the final round so a win here would put them in a strong position.

Goals were conspicuous by their absence so it was time to congratulate the two goalkeepers and their defences. It was a second clean sheet of the day for Jason Dewey in goal for ASAL Sports. Alicounty were rotating their goalkeeper game to game and it was Mike Meredith who would collect the shut-out in this game.

The 0-0 draw was more useful to ASAL Sports as they moved above Cheesecake FC into second place on goal difference. The draw would see Alicounty slip a place in the table to fifth due to news of the result coming from the game on Pitch B.

Talking of that game on Pitch B, the final game of Round 4 was Mavericks versus Bede FC. It was the battle between the teams in fifth and sixth place. A win for Mavericks would see them climb above Alicounty into fourth position. A win for Bede FC would see them replace Mavericks in fifth. If it was a draw, we would remain as we were (albeit with an extra point in the final column of the group table).

The Mavericks had broken their duck in the previous game and they were on the scoresheet again as Andy Kay opened his personal account. It was the second game in a row in which they'd scored first. Last time ASAL Sports staged a comeback but this time The Mavericks lead from the front in style. They were secure at the back and prevented Bede FC from finding an equalizer.

The game finished 1-0 and The Mavericks were up to fourth position and an outside chance of making the Cup as one of the best third placed teams.
