Cheesecake FC were back in action against Alicounty at the start of Round 3. Both teams had picked up 1-0 wins in Round 2 as the teams sat in second and fourth positions respectively at the start of play. There was just the one point to separate the two teams.

These two teams paths had almost crossed before at the 2014 Mallorca Tournament. Alicounty had 3 teams in the tournament in Groups A, C & D. Cheesecake FC were in Group B so they didn't get to meet each other in direct competition. They could potentially have met in the Cup Final as Booka Juniors lost 1-0 to Palma Select in the Cup Quarter-Finals. Cheesecake FC then beat Palma Select in the Cup Final (1-0) to lift the title.

So far, Group B was proving to be the tightest of all the groups. The last 3 games had all been won 1-0 and this game was no different. Ben Woods was the man with the goal to secure all 3 points for Cheesecake FC. Gavin McEvoy kept up his superb record of not yet conceding in the tournament. Cheesecake FC moved to the top of the table.

Bede FC came into Round 3 looking to secure their first points of the day. They can count themselves a little unfortunate as they only lost their last game 1-0 to the team currently top of the table. To pile the pressure on Bede FC they were now up against the team who ended Round 2 at the top of the table – Atletico San Bas.

Atletico San Bas could return to the top of the table with a victory here. With that incentive the Spanish team were ruthless in this game. They raced to a 4-0 lead at half-time. Angel Gomez Gutierrez scored for the second game running before Javier Manzano Segarra opened his personal account. Gilen Arrieta Caleada then added two before and two after the break for a 6-0 lead. Daniel Ferrdudez Ferrer made it 7-0 before Angel Gomez Gutierrez finished what he started. Final score, 8-0.

From a Bede FC perspective the game was notable for a penalty save by Rob McLennon in the Bede FC goal. We are reliably informed this is the first penalty that Bede FC had conceded in our tournaments. They have a 100% penalty save record!

ASAL Sports had the chance to keep tabs on the top two with a victory against The Mavericks. The Mavericks might find themselves a little aggrieved to only have 1 point to show for their efforts so far despite conceding just the one goal in 2 games. If they were to win they would leapfrog above their opponents and move into third position in the table.

Although strong defensively, The Mavericks were yet to score in the tournament to date but that was about to change. Tom Quilter broke their tournament duck and put his name in the record books as his team's first goalscorer in eurofootballfives.com competition.

ASAL Sports were currently staring down the barrel of a second consecutive 1-0 defeat but they were to equalize through Matthew Poff's first goal of the tournament. 1-1 became 2-1 to ASAL Sports as they turned this game around thanks to a goal from Jack Savage. Taylor Henry then bagged his third of the competition to make it 3-1 and seal a fine win for his team.

ASAL Sports were in third position but just three points off top with two games to go. The Mavericks remained in fifth position.
