ASAL
Sports had the chance to keep tabs on the top
two with a victory against The Mavericks. The
Mavericks might find themselves a little aggrieved
to only have 1 point to show for their efforts
so far despite conceding just the one goal in
2 games. If they were to win they would leapfrog
above their opponents and move into third position
in the table.
Although
strong defensively, The Mavericks were yet to
score in the tournament to date but that was about
to change. Tom Quilter broke their tournament
duck and put his name in the record books as his
team's first goalscorer in eurofootballfives.com
competition.
ASAL
Sports were currently staring down the barrel
of a second consecutive 1-0 defeat but they were
to equalize through Matthew Poff's first goal
of the tournament. 1-1 became 2-1 to ASAL Sports
as they turned this game around thanks to a goal
from Jack Savage. Taylor Henry then bagged his
third of the competition to make it 3-1 and seal
a fine win for his team.
ASAL
Sports were in third position but just three points
off top with two games to go. The Mavericks remained
in fifth position.
