As we entered the final Round of games it was do or die for the teams in reaching the knock-out stages.

Water Boy knew victory against Southgate County 2s would bring them the Group C title. A draw would probably do the same unless Panic At The Isco also won and went goal crazy. Defeat would leave them vulnerable to slipping to second. Whatever happened here Water Boy were through to the Cup.

Looking at the game from a Southgate County 2s perspective was a little less favourable. For them to reach the Cup they had to win and hope Panic At The Isco and Speldhurst Rangers both lost. Against Panic At The Isco, Southgate County 2s would also need a swing in goal difference (+1 compared to +5).

To add to Southgate County 2s difficulties they were up against the top team in the table so the odds were stacked against them. The odds lengthened when Water Boy moved ahead in the first half courtesy of a goal from Rafa.

There was no way back for Southgate County 2s who might think their performances deserved more than their haul of 5 points. They would also be looking over their shoulders in the hope that they wouldn't slip down into the Trophy.

Panic At The Isco met Scoregasm in the penultimate game of Group C. As we ticked off the games things were becoming a little clearer in the table.

Panic At The Isco were currently 2 points ahead of Speldhurst Rangers in third position. A win would guarantee them second place and Cup qualification. A draw combined with Speldhurst Rangers failing to win would also be enough. A draw combined with Speldhurst Rangers winnin would be enough as long as Speldhurst Rangers won by less than 7. A defeat for Panic At The Isco would mean dropping to third with any form of Speldhurst Rangers win.

Scoregasm would finish in sixth position whatever happened in this game but no doubt they would want to win to take some momentum and confidence into the Trophy competition. This game was the proverbial game of two halves. 0-0 in the first half, goals galore in the second.

Tom Cryer opened the scoring for Panic At The Isco but they were pegged back by James Spurrell's second goal in as many games. Panic At The Isco were back in front thanks to Toby Smyth before opening up a two goal cushion as Tom Cryer bagged his second of the game. Tom Stonier then completed the scoring at 4-1.

Panic At The Isco had qualified for the Cup – well done to them.

That left us with Allez Les Pinos versus Speldhurst Rangers to wrap up Group C. The Cup qualification places had now been decided but the Plate/Trophy positions were still to be settled.

Currently Speldhurst Rangers were in third position and they just needed to avoid defeat to secure third place. If they lost then they would slip to fourth but still go through to the Plate albeit in a harder position in the knock-out draw.

Allez Les Pinos currently sat in fifth position and so defeat would condemn them to the Trophy competition. A win would see them climb to third place and qualify for the Plate. Southgate County 2s would then drop into the Trophy qualification places. A draw would see Allez Les Pinos go level on points with Southgate County 2s but their inferior goal difference would see Southgate County 2s progress into the Plate.

The greater incentive and impetus fell onto Allez Les Pinos. They “needed it more” and this may have played a part in them securing the 1-0 victory to take them into the Plate. Paulo Medina's goal was the difference between the two teams.
