Amongst
all the drama at the top for Cup qualification
places we had some respite with Tysers versus
Purnell Youth. Both teams had played pretty
well today and been competitive throughout.
They would no doubt feel a little hard done
by to only have a point each to show for their
efforts.
The
two teams knew that whatever happened here they
would both go through to the Trophy. Obviously
pride and honour was at stake but we are sure
each of these teams would want to get the 3
points on the board and go into the knockout
phase with some momentum.
There
was nothing to separate the teams as we changed
ends. We were locked together at 0-0. We did
get goals in the second half but the teams were
still locked together as we finished all square
at 1-1. Jack Peterson scored his second of the
day to put Tysers 1-0 up but Bradley Hooper
cancelled out the strike for Purnell Youth.
The
two teams would finish level on points and level
on goal difference. Tysers finished higher though
on goals scored.
