Game #10 of Group B was an important one for both Red Star and Parkwood A. Red Star simply had to win to keep their Cup hopes alive. If they could they would join Parkwood A and Lindfield FC in second place on 9 points. A draw would keep them in it mathematically but not realistically. A defeat would extinguish those Cup hopes for good.

For Parkwood A, a win would keep Cup qualification in their own hands. They would go level with Hellgarve Kraken's (temporarily at least) and throw down the gauntlet to Lindfield FC – who were up against the Portuguese league leaders in Round 4.

This game belonged to Red Star. A first half goal from Rui and a second half goal from Dino meant they would go level with their opponents on points and go above them on goal difference.

For Parkwood A it was a blow. They slipped to fourth on goal difference but were still very much in the hunt for a place in the Cup. Their task just got more difficult though.

Trinacria entered their fourth game at the foot of the table. A win-win finish would lift them out of the Trophy places and into the Plate qualification positions.

Show Me Da Mane would still harbor hopes of Cup qualification. Parkwood A's defeat opened things up in mid-table as there were now 3 teams on 6 points in a share of second. Show Me Da Mane could join them and make it a thrilling 4-way shoot out for second place going into Round 5. They had to win this one first though.

Whilst Trinacria had not picked up points they had largely been competitive. There was just the one goal to divide the teams in the first half here. Matthew Maslen scored his second in as many games to give Show Me Da Mane the lead.

After the change of ends Luke Goodfellow doubled the lead and Show Me Da Mane were on their way to victory. It was a vital return to winning ways for them and they were right in the mix to qualify for the Cup.

Hellgarve Kraken's were making their fourth appearance at the Algarve Open. If you were reading the report above from Round 3 you will have seen that they won the 2015 title on debut playing under the name Futeboladas.

They returned in 2016, playing as The Avengers, and recorded 2 wins and 2 losses in Group A which saw them finish in third position. They would progress to the Plate competition which was played in a group format. They recorded 2 wins, 1 draw and a defeat to finish 3rd in the Plate.

They then competed for a third time at the 2018 Algarve Open as FC Gymnasium. From their 7 group games they won 3, drew 2 and lost 2. They finished on 11 points and in third place which meant Cup qualification. They then encountered 3x eurofootballfives.com winners, L'Albiceleste of France. They were defeated 3-0.

Another win here in 2019 would see them clinch the Group B title with a game to spare. Lindfield FC were in a clutch of teams on 6 points in second and would dearly love to get something out of this game to give them the advantage going into Round 5 for that second Cup qualification space. It didn't look easy on paper though against a team yet to concede a goal.

In practice it proved just as difficult with a goal in each half for Ivo Gomes winning it for the Portuguese. Hugo Dias collected his fourth clean sheet of the day.
