Hellgarve Kraken's (Por) made their eurofootballfives.com debut at the 2015 Algarve Open playing as Futeboladas and surged to victory. They finished 2nd in their group with 4 wins out of 5 to RC Lens. They won a 4-3 thriller in the Cup Quarter-Finals against Algarve Stars before a 3-1 win over Why Always Morris in the Semi-Final. They then met RC Lens again in the Cup Final. RC Lens won the group game (2-0) but Futeboladas won the game that really mattered (3-0) to collect the title.

On current form it looked like a second title could be on the cards. So far they had 2 wins, 6 goals and were yet to concede. They had a 3 point lead at the top of the table and could extend that to 6 points with a victory here.

They were up against fellow Portuguese opposition in the form of Red Star. Red Star lost their opening game but had just bounced back with a 3-1 victory. They could join Hellgarve Kraken's at the top with a victory of their own.

Following a 0-0 first half, just the one second half goal would seal this game. Joao Miguel scored his fourth of the tournament for Hellgarve Kraken's. They had their 6 point lead and were in cruise control in Group B.

With Hellgarve Kraken's striding ahead at the summit of Group B there was quite a battle emerging behind them. At the start of play in this game we had four teams locked together on 3 points all with very similar goal difference (within 1 goal) and all with a very similar number of goals scored (within 2 goals of each other).

We had two of these teams in action now – head-to-head. It was Parkwood A versus Show Me Da Mane. Both had similar form today with a win in their opening game followed by defeat in Round 2. A win here would see the victor move into outright second position. A draw would see them share second place.

It was Parkwood A who forged an early lead courtesy of James Staunton's second goal of the tournament. As the second half kicked off Show Me Da Mane needed to get back into the game and they did just that with Matthew Maslen opening his personal account. At 1-1 this game was crying out for a hero.

Cometh the hour, cometh the man and that man was Jordan Griffiths. His second goal of the day put Parkwood A 2-1 up and it was a lead they would not relinquish. Final score, 2-1.

To complete Round 3 we had Lindfield FC versus Trinacria. Of the teams locked on 3 points at the end of Round 2, Lindfield FC were the final team to play. They had seen Red Star and Show Me Da Mane lose. They needed a win here to keep pace with Parkwood A in the hunt for that second Cup qualification place.

Trinacria had so far lost both of their games but all was not lost for them. If they were to win this then they would join that posse of teams on 3 points and then only be 3 points off second place. Despite 2 defeats, a strong finish to the group could see Trinacria reach the Cup. They had to win this though.

After the first half it did not look likely for the Belgian team. Lindfield FC had taken their momentum from Round 2 into Round 3 and were 2-0 by the break. Andrew Brown bagged the goals in the last round but it was Jon Cunnigham who took over goal-scoring duties here. He scored both first half goals.

Andrew Brown was back on the score-sheet himself in the second period and there was a consolation for Trinacria courtesy of Terry Vanophalvens. Final score, 3-1.
