With
the draw in the previous fixture, Group C opened
up for Water Boy. They would entertain their
compatriots Allez Les Pinos. If they could beat
their fellow countrymen then they would open
up a two point lead at the top of the table.
Southgate
County's draw had seen Allez Les Pinos slip
to fourth position in the table but a win would
see them go joint second (with Water Boy). If
Allez Les Pinos wanted to reach the Cup competition
they could not afford defeat.
Allez
Les Pinos's results had been mixed today and
this may well have been because they were a
“barbarians” team. The real Allez Les Pinos
had cancelled on the eve of the tournament.
So, 4 of the Portuguese teams today had released
their substitutes to form an Allez Les Pinos
team so the other teams in Group C would not
miss out. It was a great gesture but naturally
the players did not know each other well and
so lead to inconsistencies.
Earlier
in the day Allez Les Pinos had won 4-0. Here,
they lost 4-0 as Water Boy looked to move through
the gears. Water Boy were 3-0 up at half time
(Tiago, Bernardo, Tiago) and finished the game
off in the second half with a goal from Rafa.
