Group C was really hotting up as we entered Round 4. Match 10 of the group was a massive game at the top. Panic At The Isco were joint top on 7 points with Water Boy. There were two teams behind on 4 points, Southgate County 2s were one of those teams.

If Panic At The Isco could seal victory then they would be just one point away from Cup qualification. A Southgate County 2s win would make it a three-team tie at the top.

Panic At The Isco were yet to concede today so Southgate County 2s would have their work cut out breaching that defence. Southgate County 2s were equally as stubborn at the back in this game as the two teams played out a goal-less first half.

Panic At The Isco had already been involved in a 0-0 draw and they were to be involved in a second here. Both teams would have to settle for a point each. Only time would tell if this was a point gained or two points dropped. Given Panic At The Isco's loftier position in the table you felt the draw suited them more than Southgate County 2s.

With the draw in the previous fixture, Group C opened up for Water Boy. They would entertain their compatriots Allez Les Pinos. If they could beat their fellow countrymen then they would open up a two point lead at the top of the table.

Southgate County's draw had seen Allez Les Pinos slip to fourth position in the table but a win would see them go joint second (with Water Boy). If Allez Les Pinos wanted to reach the Cup competition they could not afford defeat.

Allez Les Pinos's results had been mixed today and this may well have been because they were a “barbarians” team. The real Allez Les Pinos had cancelled on the eve of the tournament. So, 4 of the Portuguese teams today had released their substitutes to form an Allez Les Pinos team so the other teams in Group C would not miss out. It was a great gesture but naturally the players did not know each other well and so lead to inconsistencies.

Earlier in the day Allez Les Pinos had won 4-0. Here, they lost 4-0 as Water Boy looked to move through the gears. Water Boy were 3-0 up at half time (Tiago, Bernardo, Tiago) and finished the game off in the second half with a goal from Rafa.

Next up was Speldhurst Rangers away to Scoregasm. Speldhurst Rangers could still qualify for the Cup. A win here would put them on 6 points and two points off second placed Panic At The Isco going into the final round of fixtures.

Scoregasm were looking to move off the foot of the table with their first victory of the day. It was Speldhurst Rangers who opened the scoring with Dan Kelly opening his personal account. For the third time in four games, Speldhurst Rangers lead 1-0 at half-time.

They had been pegged back once before (versus Water Boy) and were pegged back again here. James Spurrell scored for Scoregasm which sparked arguably the biggest celebration of the day. It was Scoregasm's first goal of the tournament. Given the celebrations you can see why the team are called what they are!

Sadly for Scoregasm, first goal did not mean first points as Barney Mellors second goal of the tournament restored the lead for Speldhurst Rangers who chalked up their second win, 2-1.
